Just looking over the stats for HeyYouGuys
74 total posts. Could be a sleeper pick. Get him in the organization and mold him into the poster we all need him to be.

Feel free to trade me, I hate every one of you guys anyways.

EDIT: But if you trade me to San Jose or Toronto, I will personally track you down and make you listen to THIS video for the rest of your life.

That's a fair proposal. I'd do it from a Sens POV

Would you report to the Senators? Yes

What's your opinion of the Senators? Similar to the Thrashers several years ago, some young talent and some aging older talent but hindered by your GM who needs to be replaced. You appear to have a good owner who cares.

What are your qualities as a poster? Opinionated

Anything else you'd like to share. To be frank I am not sure just how long I am going to be around here, this has been a tough blow.
We'd have to convince him stay around, for sure.

Interested in Ottawa: Yes

Comments: After I decided to procrastinate on doing work, I decided to waste my time scouting some Atlanta fans eligible for the draft. First up was ThrasherMinion, who indicated that Ottawa was one of the teams he was interested in. After exchanging some Private Messages (no homo), I found out some key points about ThrasherMinion.

-He's interested in staying in the East. Knows a lot about the Eastern Conference, doesn't know much about the West.

-Loved cheering against the Sens for the sole purpose of hoping any team with Dany Heatley would lose miserably.

-Biggest Sens fan was Mike Fisher...that sucks...

-Loved it when Alfredsson shot the puck at Neidermayer in the SCF in 07.

-Also loved Hossa and Havlat. Apparently they are long gone.

-Isn't familar with Ottawa's prospects, but would gladly study up to learn more about them.

-Likes posting silly pictures as much as comments

Quote:
The Ottawa fans seem alot like the Thrasher fans were....hungry, yet realistic, and passionate. A winning season would create a lot of fun. I don't want to go to an established winner. The fun rollercoaster ride is what I'm looking for. Good luck to your team, and if you think I'd fit, I'd be honored to cheer for the Red and Black(?)/Gold(?)
Seems like a great guy. Should be interesting.

Interest in Ottawa: Yes

Comments:

-Willing to be drafted by anyone who wants him/her

-Eternal Optimist

-Hates Heatley

-Good Sense of Humour (spelt it Humor in the message due to the fact that he is American)

-Smart

-Love's the Beatles

-After I crept him even more after he was done answering my questions, and determined that when he says he is smart, he really means it. Very good at math, based on his "IQ test results"

-Posts in Atlanta and Trades Forum

President/Prime Minister When born: George Bush the first
Occupation?: Student
When Did You Become A Thrashers Fan? First season.
How Did You Become A Hockey Fan? I was an Avalanche fan somewhat before the Thrashers came to be. LOVE Joe Sakic.
All-time Favorite Thrasher: Ilya Kovalchuk
Favorite Thrashers Forward: Kovy
Favorite Thrashers Defenseman: Zach Bogosian
Favorite Thrashers Goaltender: PASI!
Favorite Thrashers Marketing Theme: This wasn't on TV, but I loved it when Exelby dressed up as Ron Burgundy and did that ad at the Thrashers game.
Favorite Seating Section @ The Bulb: Anywhere in the upper deck.
Pre-Game @ the Arena?: Don't really have much of one, I just show up at game-time since I live close by.
Pre-Game @ Home: Two words: Pretzel Goldfish.
Favorite Thing about the Thrashers: We're lovable losers, and we've had our moments.
Least Favorite thing about the Thrashers: We're lovable LOSERS, and we've had our moments.
If you could be GM for one action, what would it be?: I'd trade for Savard honestly, but Zubrus-Machachek that was proposed on the Rumor board sounds good to me too.
Dumbest Thrashers Coaching Move: Anything involving who they put on Kovy's line.
Batman or Birdnado Logo? Batman.
Favorite Thrashers Moment: There's a lot, honestly. I remember back early on, where we scored a goal with like .1 seconds left to tie it. I was listening on the radio and Dan Kamal went nuts.
Dumbest Thrashers Moment: How about a more recent one, where Pavelec let in that 180 foot goal?

If I was to liken my posting style to an NHL'er I would say half Paul Bissonette Half Mike Richards- Or maybe a Barnaby with more offensive upside
After doing some scouting myself, I've determined that he also likes to post in the trades board. A cause for concern is that he is also a fan of the Colorado Avalanche, according to his profile. After doing some further digging, I found that he is a typical white southerner , which means he judges other races and elasticities.

Here are some of his trade proposals:

to ANH: Bergfors, Bogosian, Valabik, 2011 1st

We'd have to convince him stay around, for sure. As I am reading this a second time, he would go great with all the other Murray haters.

Scouting Summary

1. ThrasherMinion

Just seems like a guy who would be great to have. Likes to have fun, but I think will make very rational statements surrounding the team. Negatives are he can't tell the Devils from the Senators, and according to himself got a 20 on an IQ test of some sort.

2. Chipper

Seems like a great guy and hates Heatley, which is obviously a plus. Based on reading other teams boards, he's a wanted commodity. However, he tried to snub the whole eastern conference by signing with the Rangers, but the deal was cancelled by the Commisioner. Hopefully, if we drafted him, he wouldn't pull a Tim Erixon.

3. Dorncog

Again, seems like a nice guy, and is in need for a #1. He likes the wings, which shouldn't conflict with the Sens. In fact, the whole Swede factor is nice to have. A cause for concern is his posts per day count, which would only see him make 1 posts approximately every 3 days. If needed, we can contact him to see if this number will rise or decrease.

4. AintLifeGrand

A big plus is that he has indicated, like ThrahserMinion, has stated (without being asked) that he is interested in being a Sens fan. Will most likely contribute to our "Trade Rumours Thread" if he is brought here as well. Adds to our GDT threads, which always needs more spicing up. Concern is his ridiculous trade proposal involving Bobby Ryan and Zach Parise. In his defence, most of his proposals aren't terrible, I'm just picking on him.

5. BTN

His pedigree speaks for himself. One of the oldest posters on these boards, coming up to his 10th year here. Good post per day count, and would hopefully add a veteran presence, and offset the incredibly immature Sean9 . Problem you could call him a project, despite the fact that he is a veteran poster, as he doesn't see himself coming back as much anymore. This would take some convincing to do.

If anyone else wants me to scout someone specific, just let me know.

I'm pretty sure fans of each NHL team pick "GMs" to represent their team and we draft Atlanta fans to become regular posters on our teams board now that their team is gone.

Since the thrashers are gone, we are "drafting" their fans...

Since the Thrashers are moving to Winnipeg, a lot of Atlanta fans are understandably cold to shifting allegiances to the city that took their team from them. So, they're making the best of a bad situation and having a board-wide "draft", where selected representatives from each board pick Atlanta posters, similar to an NHL entry draft.

Ok,here's my top 6

1.ThrasherMinion - would love to represent the Sens, veteran active poster,Photoshop skills,GDT starter as we need some serious competition for Polak,Danishh and Omni.

2.Sunshine36616 - female,female hockey fan,female hockey fan with a blog

3.AintLifeGrand - would love to represent Ottawa in the south, decent trade proposals,I haven't seen any mention of other canadian teams in his preferences so that's a big plus

4.TasteofFlames -doesn't mention Ottawa, but this guy won't report to Montreal,Toronto and Vancouver. I already consider him one of us

5.BTN - veteran, smart, best all around poster available in the draft. Knows more about our team than most who don't follow Ottawa on a regular basis. Chemistry won't be an issue

6.Dorncog - would report to Ottawa

I'd love BTN, awesome poster... veteran and another global mod rep for the sens board.. only issue is that He has admitted that losing the thrashers was a huge blow to his loyalty to hockey and to this site.. so he may not even come as often as he once did.. but still a solid pick nonetheless.

Sounds like he hasn't signed the Poster Transfer Agreement, like drafting a Russian, he could bolt for the NBA. Too much risk IMO.
