The first 2 games, the D were scrambling and Texas lost bad. They never really got in a rhythm. They were OK last game, but a poor line change caused that 1st goal. I think you could blame it a bit on the hectic line changes that come from having odd line and D combos.
I dont think 7 d is generally a good idea unless its done in a pinch. I wonder if they will just let Barker go after this tryout ends.

Yeah dressing 7 should only be done if someone's playing injured IMO.

Knowing Chiasson and, more importantly, Glennie are out is making me not excited for these games.

Cheer up, there's still some great players to watch.

Eakin was having a strong game, but at the end of the 2nd PK he turned the puck over 3 different times. Fatigue was likely a major factor, but the whole mess was set off by a questionable pass coming out of the D zone.

Still ... he was Dallas' best player in the 1st IMO.

Nilstorp is not on tonight. It's time to make a change.

Going for the record of most pulled goalies in one season?

Ohh .... nice pass from behind the net by Roussel, but Eakin just buried that for the goal.

Maybe ...

The 1st and 3rd goals were stoppable. The shots came from distance, and Nilstrop didn't have any screen whatsoever.

OKC has hit a few posts as well so they were consistently getting pucks behind him.

i wonder what that record is. This is Texas' 7th game I believe and it has happened 3 times now?

I don't watch the NBA, and this is my first OKC hockey game to watch on the computer.

I assume this is a fairly large arena since it hosts an NBA team ... somewhere north of 15,000 maybe?

The CPC only holds less than 6,000 IIRC. I imagine there are less than 6,000 at this game, but I wouldn't think it's buy a large margin. I think it just looks bad based on the arena size probably.

Cowboys actually decided to start playing so I've been trying to watch both. The first PP looked great. Hopefully they can score this 2nd one.

The Thunder and Barons play in different arenas. But yeah, the crowds have been pretty thin both seasons before this.

2500 announced attendance, so I would guess 2000 in the crowd. That is just pathetic.

Good to see Eakin continue his dominance and Fraser get on the score sheet.. Eakin is really giving me hope as more than just a 3rd liner in the NHL with this PPG thing going on in the AHL.

Willie continues to baffle me.. what's going on with Chiasson that he needs 3 games to recover from a flu? Maybe more than that? Also the whole thing about "not changing what works" after winning 1 game following 3 losses is retarded. If that's the reason Glennie didn't play tonight, that's stupid ****.

The special teams problem is so reminiscent of last year's Stars. It's becoming pretty clear one of two things. Either Willie was running the PP/PK at times last year and was directly responsible for some of its horribleness, or whatever Gulutzan/Jerrad were doing wrong rubbed off on his styles. No reason a team with this much talent should have a 60% PK.

Wasn't there rumours last season that the PK didn't improve until Jerrad took it over?

I remember hearing something about Willie being in charge of the PP too, not 100% sure though.

IIRC, the PK was terrible before Jerrard. So last season was definitely an improvement.

I'm surprised Fraser and Eakin aren't paired together, they must have played a little bit together in Kootenay at some point.
