He's a bust, the end.

Honestly haven't been to a Texas game in months. The team is terrible and fraser and Vincour are the only good things on it.

The current management is royal ****ing over the city. Advertising has doubled (which has caused half of the sponsors to leave) Attendance is horrible because we don't win, and a lot of the employees hate working for Rick McLaughlin which is creating a toxic work environment and showing to the fans.

It's really turning into a cluster ****, and until new management comes in (which will most likely be never since this is a Hicks boys trust fund team) The team won't succeed without a new coach and better players.

I agree, I haven't seen anything special out of Glennie yet.

It's probably the team and coaching staff, as he did well last year (not to mention playing good in the ECHL and for a bad team in juniors).

Glennie scores 2 and you still can't win? Man Texas is bad at D.

We took Larsen and Jordie from them, of course they'll suck at D. Blame Spang!

I dont ever remember anything about sending down Dillon did we do that atleast?

Exactly.

If you guys ever get a chance to see this team play you'll see that it is literally ZERO defensive play. The forecheck is insane and backfires quite often. I understand that uptempo hockey is a good thing, but Pyle takes it to a ridiculous level. You can get away with playing offense only in the ECHL. This is the AHL, and other teams know wtf you're doing.

To the person saying Beskro is bad. Have you seen him play?

Yes indeed, I've watched him a lot this year. Not much before though. I am not saying its all on T. Beskorowany, it's also really bad defense , but he hasn't impressed me.

For all the finger-pointing that's gone on about why Cedar Park is bad this year... you have to remember, the Stars' overall prospect pool at the professional level is still ridiculously meager. As bad as it ever was really, going back through the Iowa and Utah days. On any given night of late I can count 4 legitimate prospects (Besko, Glennie, Fraser, Dillon) and 2 fringe prospects (Sceviour, Labrie) on the roster. That kind of dearth of talent isn't going to get it done. It's the result of A) drafting heavily out of the NCAA and B) just plain not having many draft picks year in and year out. We're constantly frittering them away and not replenishing the standard supply of 7. Only 3 of the prospects I mentioned were even draft picks!

Texas Stars score with 12 seconds left in the third , they win 2-1 against Abbotsford. Raycroft was solid, made 32 saves, and actually controlled his rebounds. He is now 2-0-1

That's still more "legitimate prospects" than the last two years, 2009 especially. We all know how well the team did those two years.

Scott Glennie with two goals and an assist for the Texas Stars tonight. He has 8 points (4 goals, 4 assists) in last 4 games.
Is that.. a brief flicker of hope at the end of the tunnel?

Glennie always takes the first half of the season off... Should've kept Neal so we could have Glennie and Neal combine for one solid season!

Just seeing a glimmer of hope from Glennie makes me happy. He's got talent he just needs to put the work in.

Doubt he ever gets to the NHL if he somehow participates in camp, makes it out of camp, and decides to take the first half of the NHL season off. He needs to put together a nice consistent season next year in the A for him to be considered a legitimate prospect of worth at this point. In the case of playing at the AHL level I'm sure it's half laziness half adjustment period, but I haven't seen him play a single game for the Texas Stars so that's speculation.

Quick kind of massive note. Was at a party this weekend and a couple of the veterans were there. This team HATES the new coach and a lot of the vets won't be re-signing if he remains the coach. The situation here has truly turned toxic.
