Jussi Jokinen as UFA

What do people think he will command on the free agent market?

3.5-4 probably.

Maybe 3-5 years.

Canes general manager Jim Rutherford says signing Jokinen could be tough. It's believed he could be seeking as much as $3 million a year on the free-agent market.
I think he can get more than that on the market. Maybe a 3 year deal with a 3.5 cap hit.

I imagine he'll get a 3-4 year deal worth about 3.5-4 per year, which means he's as good as gone from the Canes.

I'd love him back on Dallas at the right price. He's really put it together with the Canes.

Hoping Murray can magically get rid of Blake and sign Jussi to complete the Finn-line.

I'd welcome Jussi back to Dallas. Would look good with Benn and Eriksson.
He should get a contract similar to Eriksson.
3.5
4.1
4.5

3 years/4.033 mil cap hit

I think at most, he'll get 3.8, but at the very least he'll get 3.2 for 3-5 years.

Well you remember good old Tippett, completely alienating younger players because he refuses to play them and then when they make a mistake, he just stops playing them altogether.

somewhere between 3-4, anything under 3.5 would be good value.

I'd like the Sens to put it an offer, but with the amount it looks like he is commanding, I'm not sure if it would get done.

I would rather short term, which would increase cap hit.

2 years @ 4 million per.

I could see Jussi Jokinen sign a 4 year 15-16 million dollar deal easy on the market. If Rutherford can sign him for 3 million long term, he is a wizard.

Wow.. Really eh? I was expecting much less... I guess he is a 60 pt. player though, and top 6 playmakers are in high demand. I'd like him in Vancouver to play along side Kesler and Raymond, but I wouldn't be willing to pay him more than 3mil a season. I think his playmaking skills could complement Kesler and Raymond as they're both shooters, and we could use some added talent on our 2nd unit PP. I'd still rather sign Laich, though.

Tell us about it.

Our GM is considering 3 million too much.

He'll sign with the Wild to play with Koivu, somewhere in the 3m range, lets face it its almost a perfect fit, we have Mini Finland with the state and the history and now our team is going the same way specially if we draft Armia like most of people seem to think.

A thin free agent pool should drive up his value.

Laich will cost at least 4 IMO probably more than that.

I would love to see Jokinen on the Isles...good at both ends of the ice, can line up at wing or center (if Baily struggles next year it would be good to have someone who can take over). Wouldn't mind seeing the team overpay ($4M or slightly over) on a short-term deal.

I think the Penguins will kick the tires on Jokinen as well. 3-4M range.

He sucks 5 on 5, Chad LaRose is superior and dreamier.
