Top Prospects for 2012 Q Draft

With the addition of Sherbrooke next year I was wondering who some of the early prospects are for 2012 Quebec League Draft?

I know Daniel Audette son is supposed to be pretty good. i believe he's 2012 eligible. Also heard of quebec kid (d-men) who was playing this yr with the Notre Dame Hounds in Saskatchewan who's supposed to be very good.

What do you think of these players

Alex Mann big defenseman. Also heard Josh Shatford has been impressing at the prospect camps this spring. Heard he added a physical tone to his puck handling skills. Always liked watching him.

Also Jordon Yochoff is a bit small but always manag to be a winner tht is an intangible.

Just wondering what others think of these players

You're probably talking about Maxime Chevalier. He was mainly the reason why the 'Little Remparts'' almost won the Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament some years ago in the highest caliber.

BTW, there are a lot of good prospects from Quebec this year. SSF should be pretty good. Hébert, Ouellet and Delisle-Houde should all be in their lineup and will probably be key contributors right off the bat. Jonquière will have a very good goalie in Bouchard, and that will help them a lot. He will probably have the same impact François Tremblay had for them two years ago.

Erbs hasnt grown since first year bantam and doesnt seem to be developing as well as most of the other players. He may turn out to be that guy who is head and shoulders the best player growing up but everyone ends up catching up to him.

Your missing two players from the notre dame argos midget aaa, lucas batt, and duncan macintyre, i saw them play in regina the past weekend and i saw some of the players on the list play midget also. And i think they should be in there. Luke batt is a solid forward, physical and reads the game well, not the best skating but great hands and shot. Duncan macintyre was the best on the ice in my opinion, as a rookie defencemen, he controlled the game and pace, he never came off the ice. One of the nicest strides i've seen in a while, great speed, great hockey sense, physical, great on special teams, makes a great first pass and can shut down in the defensive zone and always is a threat in the offensive zone. Batt should be in the second round, and macintyre should be in the first in my opinion.

Mann is 5'10 so i wouldnt really call that 'big' and Yochoff is 120 lbs...most 15 year old girls are 120 lbs for gods sake....

He provides energy and if the game was played without a puck hed be dominant....

Cusson is underrated... The seems like a jerk from what Ive heard, but he's playing on a STACKED lions team, he isn't getting top minutes, I think hes averaging 12-15 not sure it may be less

He's got skill, he could climb, haven't seen Audette yet and I think Sukumaran is overrated, not impressed with him.

Time will tell however.

I believe in the contrary. I've seen both play and feel Sukumaran is underrated. The kids plays physical and gets on the board. Although, the kid has got a mouth on him and has to be careful. I feel Cusson hasn't adapted to the speed of the game yet. But as you said, time will tell, as both are solid prospects.

Is Sukumaran a D or F? He is listed as a forward but I saw him play yesterday as a D against Cag. I know the Lions were missing two d and one d didn't get much ice. The Lions played 4 d.
Cortese-Sukumaran
Levesque-Guerrera

sukamaran is overrated....he is simply a fourth line player who looks to hit first and play hockey second.....and he is slow of foot.....will probably not grow much more as he is only 5' 9" if that

it is a stacked lions team......really good players did not nake that team because of all the 16 and 17 year olds.......the only 15 year olds they kept was one good skilled guy who is big and one fourth line banger.......there was a strong 2 way guy who could have made it but not a fourth liner and apparently no room on first three lines.....Kids name is Kosik, was selected to U16 training camp in spring

Prospects 9601, plese don't get me started with your posts. It seems you only made an account to bash this kid seeing as you are a rookie user with all posts related to how this kid can't pay hockey and somehow always upbring Kosic. Please don't make it that easy for people to make the connection

Your take on Sukumaran is interesting, I think he's a AAA caliber player, I don't think he'll get drafted in the 1st 3 rounds of the Q draft this year. It's hard say he doesn't get much ice time and he was suspended.

I know that there were some good players cut because the team is stacked, there's rumors about who should and shouldnt be on the team etc.

I'm surprised that Neil Robinson wasn't drafted last year, really good player.

[QUOTE=CandiacSelects;37953639]Is Sukumaran a D or F? He is listed as a forward but I saw him play yesterday as a D against Cag. I know the Lions were missing two d and one d didn't get much ice. The Lions played 4 d.
Cortese-Sukumaran

I think Cusson is doing just fine.....I feel he has improved defensively a litle

Batt should be in the second round, and macintyre should be in the first in my opinion.
interesting to here on these players......good job.....why were you in sakatchewan?
