NEED SOME HELP.....SCOUTMAN1??? Can anyone tell me anything about the following player...who can or who can't play in Q.
NOVA SCOTIA MAJOR MIDGET LEAGUE
Forward Matt Highmore GP4 0 stats
I have heard great things as being top 96 in NS but never seen him. Only 4 games played and 0 stats....is he playing somewhere else?
Forward Mogan Messenger GP 14 G 9 A 14
Leading Major Midget League as a 96....impressive plus 3 GWG.
Forward Josh Pugsley GP 12 G 7 A 14

Defence Nicholas Gibson GP 0 on website
Heard he needs work on skating but has good size and gets job done.

Forward Colin MacSween GP 9 G1 A 2
Heard he was big and strong....good role player??? They have him listed as D on web but is F?
Forward Jonathan Erbs (played in league last year as under age)
Heard he was best 96 player in Atlantic Canada for past 2 or 3 years. Where is he now???
Defence Michael White GP 9 G 2 A 8
Don’t know him but currently second leading Dman in scoring as 96.
Defence Tanner McCabe GP 9 G 3 A 2
Don’t know him but 5th in scoring for Dman in NB/PEI league as 96.
ANY FEED BACK ON ANY OF THESE PLAYERS WOULD BE APPRECIATED!
As well couldn’t find website for NL...doesn’t anyone have it?
Heard of Lucas Batt – F, Liam Hynes – F and Nathan Yetmen but that is it.
Here's some scouting reports for players from PEI:
Forwards:
Kameron Kielly: He is a big, fast scoring forward who knows how to use his linemates. 2nd best forward from PEI
Alex Gallant: Fast, great hands, great shot, dangerous with the puck. best forward in PEI.
I can't see any other 96 forwards getting drafted this year.
For D:
Tanner McCabe: Big, fast, strong. Think Dion Phaneuf, as in booming slapshot, and a train. best d for 96s
Mike White: Fast, Great hands, but very small. definetly 2nd best dman from here.
Thanks welcometothebigshow, appreciated. Do you think both dmen, McCabe and White will be drafted?
No problem, I think McCabe will definetly get drafted as he is huge and physically ready for the Q. White has an outside shot but will get drafted for sure within the next 2 years, he's pretty small as it currently stands.
Yochoff is 120 lbs...most 15 year old girls are 120 lbs for gods sake....
Whoa! Kinda harsh there, Lala? LOL I'm sure the kid can't help having "bad hockey genetics"
I actually like Yochoff...he just needs to grow...it can happen.
I remember watching some 1990 born kids in Quebec a few years ago...Felix Lefrancois, Jonathan Hazen and Gabriel Levesque...all 3 of them were very small at that age but also very talented...Hazen was 5'10 120, Lefrancois was 5'06 137 and Levesque was 5'05 140...all 3 were top end Q players so it can happen that kids grow...but its a risk to take someone that small early in the draft unless they posses high end talent...
colin macsween plays both defense and foward, big and fast
spencer smallman not a very big player but works hard all the time and his crafty with the puck.
michael white not a big defensemen but a really good skater and good with the puck.

of «the three players i would say michael white has a could chance to get drafted this year, macsween could always go in the late rounds but would be surprise to see a team from the Q taking a chance on smallman because of his size. From ns i had seen denver linds last year good power foward think he will be drafted this year and they where two other players from the maritimes playing with him at harrington college but dont know where they are playing this year macnamman and gendron. if you know where those two are playing let me know

I've heard MacNamman is playing at rothsay netherwoods
Buddy, your missing Jonny Erbs and Colin MacSween and they are better than over half of your picks, you may wanna do some recropping... Castonguay, and Yetman should be in the top 10 also.

I did see CIHA midget mineur playing in Ottawa on 2 games. This team did have 3 or 4 players that will draft in the QMJHL. We must remember that on the 2012 draft we have 8 rounds for the 15yrs. To my opinion, there are no players on this team for before round 3 or 4 (this will include Chevalier et Erbs). I did see that some players who I did think as in the best 14yrs. did not advance there game. I do think that Latulippe can maybe a surprise.
I will be catching Charles-Lemoyne take on Chateaugay tonight. Was told that for CCL, Timothé Simard and Alexis Pepin are guys to look while Justin Samson and Maxime Pitre are worthy Chateauguay players. Anyone else I should be looking at?
Lots of nice looking 96's in the NSMMHL this year, Messenger, Shatford, Mann from the South Shore Mustangs, Pugsley and Lynds from Pictou County, Marsh, Macdonald(goalie) from Halifax, Blanchard and Moody from Valley Wildcats, Highmore and Quillan from Dartmouth.
All are putting up nice numbers, Shatford and Highmore were both unjured for the start of the year but are starting to fire up recently. Looking forward ot watching them all in Moncton.
Looking forward to anyones thoughts on these kids.
