should be dudley. he's already built this team the way he wants it and he's one of the best player developers in the nhl. look at how many young players we've had the past couple of years that have come out of nowhere to be legitimate prospects

They're crazy if they don't keep Rick Dudley.

I believe that Chevy built the Chicago Wolves into champions and a successful team in spite of the prospects that Waddell sent him. Hmmmmm.....

the fact that he would never go with "just the prospects" is telling.

He was the "cap guy" for the Blackhawks? That's not good.

Excellent choice! Clearly, I am a little biased, but I think he has a real eye for talent. He was able to spot useful free agent and undrafted players that played regular roles for the Wolves. It takes a good GM to assemble a Championship squad.

I think he will be a good GM for sure, but I think it would be a mistake for this team to go away from Dudley already. now Ramsay on the other hand....

I hope he doesn't take a "dayoff" from making this franchise the best!

It would be a mistake to let Dudley go.

TNSE would be making a terrible mistake if they canned Rick Dudley.

I cannot see them firing Dudley in favor of an assistant GM or minor leagu GM.

I really wanted Cheveldayoff to replace DW a couple of years back. He would definitely be a god choice, but I like what Dudley was done, and I'd hate to see his work rewarded with a pink slip.

I hope TNSE knows they'll have to pay for two GMs for four years, if this happens.

Dudley signed a four year extension late in the season.

This would be Waddell all over again, highly regarded AHL GM gets cup of coffee at the right time with the right org and gets handed a GM job.

There is nothing that hard about winning at the AHL level, you have to simply be willing to pay for AHL veterans nobody else wants because they will take ice time away from prospects.

Chipman needs to step up his game, this isn't the AHL anymore buddy.

Just fire Ramsay and give Dudley another year or two to stockpile picks, meanwhile groom his successor in house.

Wasn't there some speculation that his contract extension was negotiated back to being ASG's problem? Makes sense. When you are in the market for a buyer, you shouldn't be making long term commitments to any management or player that the next owner might not want.

Rick Dudley's contract extension was not part of the purchase made by TNSE.

Very interesting. I wonder if they could have done that with players.

That said, I thought the front runner for GM job was Heisinger?

I heard that part of the holdup with finalizing the deal was determining who was responsible for any contracts TNSE didn't pick up.

I doubt this would apply to player contracts as those are subject to the CBA.
