Final review of Prospects Camp

I may still go to the afternoon session, but it's unlikely anything will change, so here's the final wrap up a bit early.

Next up will be the new Top 20 ranking.

Aquino sounds a little like Shean Donovan, maybe with time he can develop the finishing abilities.

Where are the goalies??? I'm kidding, thanks for the time spent on that Holly, I didn't get to go there as much as I wished... Like you, I was really impressed by Valabik's shot and Oystrick defensive paly... How did Valabik fare this week end in game situations? Especially in his own end...

You really think Stuart is NHL ready? Where do you see him fit? Battling with Santala for a 4th line spot?

I intended to watch them, I really did. But when you don't want to watch 60% of them and they keep changing, it becomes too hard to concentrate on, especially when there are so many new skaters to watch. I find watching them practice a much worse predictor of performance anyway, so it's less worth it. Sorry.

Well they didn't do a lot of that this weekend, it was mostly skating of course. But he was trying to start scuffles with Coburn, Desbiens and 66...(looking up)...Adam Smyth. Coburn and Desbiens were having none of it. In fact, Desbiens kind of rolled his eyes in the interview referring to the day before when he was talking about fighting in training camp.

I really do. So few are straight out, but yes. And I'd take him over Santala any day of the week, twice on Tuesday. However, since there won't be a season to be ready for, it's a moot point for now. Stuart goes firmly on the third line. Santala isn't really a fourth liner, he just wasn't doing anything else well enough to warrant more playing time so that's where he ended up.

Just FYI, this won't be out for another day or two. I'm working on the write-up gradually, but I don't want to flood the front page with Thrashers stuff and there's a conversation I want to have first anyway. The yearly argument over the Dwyers has already been had.

Why is anybody talking about D-Mack? I think this guys made some good progress last year and he may deserve a shot with the big club? At least on the 4th...?

Everyone should have as many fans as DMac has. The world would be a better place, seriously. Who else gets so much love?

Sidenote to camp: my architect friend said she thought about what I said on the airport colors and maybe I was right. Whew! I said go with soothing colors because people tend to get a little riled up there. I had to say something to talk her out of the ones she had samples for.
