Good news.

I think they chartered this time so not the planes, trains and automobiles they had before.

One of the reasons I was really hoping they'd close it out in Bingo. I think bad ice is advantage Houston.

They're more used to it, and play a simpler style that is less hindered by lousy ice.

yeah, our skill game will be hindered by that crazy climate.

no different than playoff games in the NFL though. If you have to play in a hostile environment, you deal with it. Our team should be able to adjust and come out on top.

I was at game 2. The temp outside was in the high 90s. The ice sucks, the puck bounces everywhere and half the game the players are whacking it to get it to lay flat.

The good thing: both teams were whacking the puck around, not just the sens.

Denis Vial:

Yes I noticed that on TV from Houston.

Also passes just died the puck seemed to stop.

Then again 90 deg + humidity, + 7K of fans in the building. Lucky they are not playing water polo............

Thanks for the input Denis...

Good to see Cowen made the trip! Hopefully the injury is nothing too serious!

It's not, Kleinendorst thinks he'll probably play tomorrow.

Kickabrat:

Kleinendorst said the decision about his assistant coach for the end of the season has not been finalized, but that he'd bet on Ottawa Senators goalie coach Rick Wamsley, who was my guess from the start.
