Great, a french player hypes up the french media so now they'll be angry when he doesn't sign here. It's all PG's fault, blah blah blah.

Personally I'd rather get bigger on the bottom six, but he does kill penalties.

It would be awesome to sign Rupp and Talbot, but we don't really have room for both do we? Or two players on our bottom 6 such as Talbot/Rupp/Stewart/Eager/Konopka, etc

UFA/Plekanec/Cammy
Pacioretty/Gomez/Gionta
Kostitsyn/Eller/UFA
Moen/Desharnais/White
Darche

I don't really see room for two players in the bottom 6...that's why I think it is important to fill it with a player that is bigger and grittier than Talbot.

Not what I said. I said it is not his #1 priority - I'm sure he'd love to win - but not at any cost.

JF Jacques

Gauthier should take a long look at signing this low risk high reward forward who is know healthy. If any of you remember his dominant play for the Bulldogs will agree this hitting machine is worth a shot with us. 6'' 4'' and can is a great skater, which means he can hit who evers he wants not like Laraque.

I agree.

One of Eager, Rupp or Jacques would be PERFECT!

With Jacques here you can forget about Boulton and Eager. Will not happen. Too bad.

Is Jacques already here ? OMG.

Jacques is a 13th forward at best. Beside hitting, he doesn't bring anything more to the table. Not a great defensive checker. Not good on pk... Won't dominate any fights, too

Sheldon souray to be bought out. Should we invest?

This is an eklund rumour but it's as per bob mackenzie so i think it's safe to say its pretty reliable.

Considering we were about to sign a 37 year old to put up about 30 points, and fill a short term slot until we could fill the void with something better, would it be compete lunacy to suggest signing a 34 year old, 6'4 veteran d-man with a bomb from the point, who (in his last healthy season posted 23 goals and 53 points). I mean, the guy isn't young, but seeing teemu, and hamrlik, recchi, roloson, i gotta believe he's still got some gas in the tank. Why not sign him for a couple years? I think he would be the perfect addition to our d to fill the void until tinordi and beaulieu and others develop.

If we sign another veteran UFA d-man it should be one that's above average defensively, we already have guys that can play the PP.

I can't believe people still have a hard on for Souray. The guy sucks defensively, even Kovalev would be a better investment than this guy would be

I don't mind having Emelin, Weber, Carle or whatever doing mistake on the ice because they're young. But Souray or Spacek they're old, it's not normal.

Besides, we do have a couple toys to play with in Weber and Diaz.
