Haha. Washington Township.

For some reason I enjoy the fact that we beat everyone in football during high school. I went to Cross, and we used to only lose to those North Jersey private schools that dominated the state.

Anyway, all the famous people end up at Bishop Eustace do they not?

It's not like his kids are going to go to a public school in South Jersey, and Eustace always had a good hockey team.

I remember watching Shonn Greene and Albert Young murder my high school haha. It was cool to see future NFL players though. I remember staying to watch Kevin Jones play after a game we played on Cardinal O'Hara's field when I was a kid.

We had a pretty good hockey team for a short stint. It was actually a club, not a sponsored program. I don't think it exists anymore sadly.

If Bryzgalov signs with the flyers i would be surpised if Bobrovsky is not traded..Before u start flaming me Bryzgalov is going to play 60 maybe 70 gms if he signs here that would hurt bob's development and would make him the 2nd highest played backup and he cant be sent to the minors without being waved so i think he will be traded for
high draft picks or a top prospect to help restock a barren farm cupboard.

Flame away......

Bob can be sent before the season starts - which I am now thinking would be best, keep him there the whole year, so he can play 60+ games - until playoff time

According to the Daily News, Bryzgalov could sign a five-year contract in the neighborhood of $27 million.

NICE.............

I'm almost positive he cannot be sent down, at any time, even before the season. He's played 60 games, so he is not exempt.

Bob is in the NHL for good.

Thought he could get sent down in the offseason. Not that I would be in favor of it anyway. Hes not going to learn anything playing on a likely bad Phantoms team. Hanging around Bryzgalov(hopefully) and getting some more coaching from Reese would do more then anything he can get riding the bus in the AHL

Playing a goalie 70 games is a recipe for disaster.

Naturally, Homer will try it.

I'm sure if that's what he was looking for he'd still be in Phoenix.

If you're talking about this, Carchidi says, "Now comes the tricky part: Trying to sign the colorful Bryzgalov - a five-year deal in the $27 million neighborhood is a reasonable guess - and fit him under the crowded cap."

Ritch Winter already said that they're going on "radio silence" so I doubt we hear any real offers, only rumors from unnamed sources.

yeah we arent going to hear anything on real numbers or progress until after the new cap # is announced. I dont blame the radio silence memo. didnt take long for Winter to realize the Philly media is a bunch of fools.

The discontent of our Winter, I guess.

I'm prepared, too, to see all sorts of wild speculations based on "sources", assumptions and just stuff being pulled out of rear ends. First, Holmgren would be foolish to set any kind of numbers before knowing what the cap will be next season. Then, depending on the total cap hit at which they arrive, there will most certainly need to be a plan B to make room. A smart GM would get everything lined up before announcing any one part of it:
if he announces he has signed Bryzgalov before clearing enough cap room, he has significantly less leverage in trade talks
if he moves a player or two to make room, it gives Winter every reason to tack that amount onto their asking price

One issue being overlooked in Coyotes situation is they couldn't give him longterm committment especially for the team to stay in Pho

Then why even negotiate at all if he had no intention of signing in Phoenix?

Probably just to see if they'd give him an outrageous amount of money.

This.

From the previous radio interview posted earlier, that seems like what may have happened. Bryz gave an outrageous number in both term and length, just to see if he could get it.

Maybe both parties were looking for an excuse to walk away from each other?

5.4M/yr for 5 years is a pretty nice contract, but that number is speculation and not a rumor.

Yea I don't see him taking less than $30 million.

Haha 264 man! My sister was 258.

Also, I don't expect to hear anything credible until he's signed. They're going to be hush hush about this. I mean, I could even see them reaching a gentleman's agreement and trading someone before announcing the trade to get FMV for the trade.
