Just what the title asks. Whoch combo do you think will have more goals next season? Kessel and Lupul combined for 46 goals last season (32 and 14 respectively). Where as Grabo and Kulemin combined for an amazing 59 (29 and 30)!
Now, with Lupul having a full season, many have said he could hit 25. And Kessel has the talent to hit 40 some day. However, there is no guarantee either will do so. Where as Grabo and Kulemin have been the most consistant forwards on the Leafs for years now, and have some of the best on ice chemistry with their linemates we have seen in a long long time.
The answer could depend largley on future signings, like Brad Richards. So mention that in your answer, if you like.
But if everything goes down how you think it will, which two guys combine for more goals?

Well, Kessel has the potential to hit 50+ but this next year I would assume he would score 42-44 and Lupul 28. Kulemin and Grabovski could each repeat last season and maybe improve slightly with Kulemin hitting 34 or 35
It's hard to tell because Grabo and Kuli had a breakout year offensively. I would say the likelihood of Kessel and Lupul improving their combined goal numbers is higher than Grabo and Kuli maintaining or improving theirs. I think the latter are two great...huge fan of Kuli especially, but this is their first year they have really produced numbers like this so I think it would be a little premature for me to expect that they reach that number or exceed that number next season. Kessel and Lupul (outside of his injury), have been consistent 30+ and 20+ goal scorers. Assuming they both stay healthy, it's safer to say that combined, both will exceed this season's combined number, even if they have to play with Bozak as their centre again.
Grabo will be looking to improve on last years numbers being a contract year.
I say if MacArthur is back Grabo and Kul will out score Kessel and Lupul.
Don't mean to jinx but I think Grabo and Kul will play close to max games and either Kessel or Lupul will get hit with the injury bug, probably Lupul.

It wouldn't surprise if Grabo is dealt sometime this year, Joe Colborne is our 2nd center of the future and if the Leafs do land a number 1 and with Grabo standing to make a good raise at the end of the year, Burke might be looking to unload him rather than to risk not getting any assets for him.

if Grabovski plays as well this season as he did last year, i hope he is re-signed...unless a team is willing to give up quite a bit in a trade.
just because we have a guy in the system who could potentially be the next _____ doesn't mean you trade the current _____.
it's really a bad idea to trade your best center because you have a kid who is like 20 who may one day be better.
same deal with the people who think we should trade MacArthur because we have Kadri.
Grabo could be dealt. Cloborne should be ready to jump into a top 9 role next year at sometime. Kadri could be ready for full time play but I think he'll be more of a winger. I don't see a 1 line center coming unless something not being talked about happens.
I also feel that Lupul could get a bump along the way.

let these kids earn their spot.
If things are the status quo next year and we don't have a number 1 center, then Burkie is not doing his job. I have nothing against Grabo, he had a good year last year, my concern is, is this his max top? If not it is close to the ceiling. I want to win the Cup, we need better players to win the cup. Vancouver has Sedin and Kessler. Boston has Bergy and Krejci, with all due respect to Grabo he would be a distant 3rd on these teams and he is number 1 in toronto, I try not to fall in love with players that are interchangable. I don't see Grabo as a center on our 1st 2 lines that will get us to the promised land, he may get us into the playoffs, but this shouldn't be the goal. Winning the cup is.
If nothing changes Grabovski and Kulimen may win this one, though it would be a tight race...if the Leafs land that number 1 center that we have been talking about Kessel and Lupul will win this one.
