Atlanta Draft - Pittsburgh draft: Please welcome puckguy11 into the fold!

As you may of been aware, Atlanta fans are drafting themselves and after the commisonner, KevinOneNeel agreed to it due to a lack of interest from the Pittsburgh board, he allowed me to take the pick. So, I'd like you to welcome puckguy11 to the boards.... be nice

Ah the dispersal draft has rewarded us hopefully. I was worried there when no one on the board listed Pittsburgh as a team they wanted to go to (I don't think).

Once Puckguy sees the benefits of siding with Uncle Gary, his anxiety will fade quickly.

From the ones left, only 1 had it in his preferences (Puckguy) - So it was natural to go for him!

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. Even though I'm from Minnesota, I have more than a few Pittsburgh and Pens connections, mostly because of the Steelers, but also some for their brethren on the ice. I'm going to just stick with a default Pens av until someone can get around to it, which you can take your time on.

Here is a general battery of knowledge which you will be expected to wield with ruthless precision at various times.

Who sported the greatest hockey mullet in recent Penguins history (last 20 years)?
1. Kasparaitis
2. Jagr
3. Milan Kraft
4. "Don't Cry For Me" Jan "Funky Cold" Hrdina
5. Martin Strbak

Which of the following people had/has the nickname "Disco"
1. Bob Boughner
2. Mario Lemieux
3. Dan Bylsma
4. Sid
5. Rick Kehoe

Which quality does not describe Brooks Orpik?
1. Soul-piercing Stare
2. Hands out lots of free candy
3. Big guns
4. Soff
5. Afraid of no man

Which player is most often (pointlessly) discussed in trade debates?
1. Sid
2. Staal
3. Orpik
4. Letang
5. Cooke

What is Matt Cooke's spirit animal?
1. Alligator
2. Rhino
3. Bunny
4. Chupacabra
5. Pirhana

That's all for now, recruit. Don't think I won't be back with more!

When it doubt about what the Penguins are doing wrong it's always because they're not getting to their game. Remember that.

Whenever someone from another team's board comes in here with trade proposals for Staal/Malkin or wanting fantasy hockey advice, we belittle them and make jokes about Gonchar having a heart attack at the zoo.

It's a long story.

You'll have fun here.

Especially Oiler fans. This may help visualize the problem.

Yes. Yes indeed.

And finding new and exciting ways to grind *****es down.

I would say those are the two most important things. If you aren't grinding *****es down, you aren't getting to your game. If you aren't getting to your game, you probably aren't grinding quite enough *****es. Pro tip: try grinding more!

Welcome to the team Puck Guy. First order of business is to start hating the Flyers.

Puck Guy was the only person who listed The Pens as one of his preferred teams. Since he seemed like he wanted to be here the most I think he is a good pickup.

I hope you can get a cool av soon since some of the guys that got picked in the draft got some awesome avs from their new teams that said what pick they were selected and had a nod to the Thrashers while showing love for their new team. I'm not that technically inclined so I cant help.

"The Piece" is a terrible nickname (it was never his nickname when he actually played for the Pens) and Kovachoo never was a Penguin.

I've never been able to figure out where Stevens' nickname came from.

Anybody with a fairly regular name (Tyler Kennedy, Craig Adams etc) usually gets f**king inserted as their middle name.
