Disappointed in Congressional or perhaps the USGA for such an easy setup by their standards. Happy for Rory. There is no FEAR for these guys

I usually root for close finishes at majors...but I'd like to see Rory to win by 15.
I disagree, I root for close finishes all the time. No point watching a blowout.

That's true as well. The USGA apparently do not make adjustments for when it rains. It will likely be a long time before the Open goes back to Congressional.

I'm sure Rory feels absolutely terrible for ruining the US Open for you. People have complained about how golf needs a new superstar, well this could very well be the birth of a superstar. Is there not a point in watching that?

I agree with GKJ about not going back to Congressional for a while, the course just doesn't look that difficult. While the rain isn't really their fault I'm not sure why the US Open didn't at least grow typical US Open rough.

Rory's last shot was incredible, and the crowd is going berserk. A blowout may be boring to some, but watching a superstar being born in front of our eyes is something very rare.

Can't remember the last time the announcers were saying stuff like "he's 5 back" and it was implicit that they were referring to 2nd place, not 1st.

Consider that 4 US Open winners at the Olympic Club combine for +2 (although Jack Fleck was +7).

It's been a long time since I've watched wrestling but I can never forget Shane MacMahon. That was weird.

Congrats to Rory. Great performance.

That may have been the single most random thing I have ever seen at a golf tournament, including "cigar guy".
