Colorado's Scouts
Saw this article on the main site and thought I'd share.

First of all, I want to say that I think we have one of the best (if not the best) scouting groups in the league.
Secondly, I cannot wait for this upcoming draft to see the new recruits.
Keep it up boys!

Difficult to say. Too early to tell about 2010.
2009 was a great draft though with Duchene and O'Reilly making it a success already, and if Elliott and Barie develop properly, it could be a huge draft indeed. But the later draft picks don't look good, Maxwell is already gone.
2008 looks very average to me, of course we hadn't a first round pick, but we need more time regarding Gaunce, Olver, Chouinard and Holos.
2007 was looking good, but we lost Shatty and Cohen. TJ Galiardi should save the draft, but I still have hopes about Malone
2006 was weak, except for Stewart
I'll stop here

That we've seen 3 of the drafted players make it to NHL ice makes it an automatic success

Especially seeing as we didn't have a first rounder that year.

They are far from established NHL players, so it's far from a success yet, at least in my book

That they turned into tradable assets is already a succes. What management does with the pieces is not on the scouting staff. 2007 is succes

Being an established player is more about the development staff -- if you have scouts good enough to find players who can just make it to the dance, that's a major success
