Schremp or Pouliot?

Both are oilers 1st round picks from 2003 and 2004, would you rather have the maybe over cocky smaller schremp or the possibly injury prone but larger pouliot? my vote goes to schremp i think hes the steal of this years later stages of the 1st round

I think Puliot is a safer pick, but Schremp has a bigger upside.

Pouliot. I like Schremp, don't get me wrong and happy when they drafted him. But after all the crap Pouliot has been through (injuries, losing team, second fiddle behind Crosby), I can't help to think that he will be a better a player because of it. Not better than Schremp, just better player.

Gotta go with MAP. Big, smooth skater, with leadership qualities and a potential offensive upside. Also, and this is where the difference lies, he has proven to be a team player. Not to dispparage Schremp, but he has yet to prove that he will fit in and do what it takes to help a team succeed. I am however hoping that he steps up and proves that he is not a selfish, me-first player. Let's hope both turn out to be great players, and Oilers, for a long time.

Future Oilers Line-up:
1st line C: Schremp
2nd line C: Poulliot

Poulliot will be the leader and better defensive player (but still put up the points), while Schremp will be the creative, major offensive threat.

I wouldn't take one over the other. I pick both.

I voted for MAP. Too bad this isn't a public poll.

Funny...7 of the 9 posts in here pick Pouliot, yet the poll has Schremp leading by a 2 to 1 margin.

I picked MAP, BTW. But just barely.

I picked Schremp. Him and Pouliot should be 1 and 2 in Centers in the future.

I noticed that too. Thats why it would be interesting if it was a public poll. Could it be that most of the Schrempers' want to remain anonymous.

I'm a "Schremper" myself, I just didn't see any further comments here nessasary. I for one was routing for him to be picked at 14 as I thought he'd go before then, and when they took him at 25 I was obivouslly happy. I like MAP as well, but it's been a while since we've had a prospect I've liked as much as I do Schremp... in fact don't think we have had one. He has the ability to make the players around him look good offensivly and with good passing and scoring abilities I am very excited to have him here. I just hope that he is not a bust and that he realizes his potential. MAP is a much safer prospect as I can see him fitting into just about any role on the team, but just isn't in the same league as Schremp skill wise.

Schremp... i think he is just what this team needs the guys should take a few notes on passion that rob expresses about the game... there have been far too many games where it looked like the oil just didn't wanna play at all hell it looked like a zombie movie at times not "good o'l oilers hockey" i am sure MAP will be great and both of them will be are future 1 and 2 centres but i am gonna bank on schremp

I also like Pouliot for the package he brings to a team - leadership, offense , size and skill. He'll be a solid second line center for us if Schremp develops as I hope he does but can also be a good 1st line center for us if Schremp dosen't pan out. This is where Pouliot wins out for me over Schremp because he can provide more than offense to a teams needs. Also if Stoll can delelop into a solid 3rd line center we may be able to trade Niinimaki for a scoring winger. The future looks bright.

Schremp too. I don't know that I need to justify it except to say I think he'll have more of an impact.

Schremp.

This team needs a swagger now, not another nice guy whom we can all root for until he approaches ufa status.

I think MAP could still be a #2 here but we're better of having Schremp reach his full potential because his confidence level is through the roof.
