Larry Brooks of the New York Post is saying the opposite and confriming that the Rangers will travel to Philadelphia to play the Flyers in the Winter Classic.

I know the Capitals were promised a home Winter Classic game. Maybe next year. Brooks has been wrong before, just ask Torts.

I wouldn't mind seeing a Blackhawks/Wild Winter Classic.

Won't happen until the Wild are, you know, good therefore marketable to a national audience.

The NHL put the Penguins in the Winter Classic against the Sabres. Buffalo isn't exactly a marketable team.

Oh yeah, let's have not just one team, but two teams who have already played in the winter classic.

You're right. Let's do Florida vs. Dallas instead. We can have about 12 people tuning in to NBC.

I wouldn't mind seeing the winter classic exclusive to O6 teams. I think the game needs more O6. Obviously they should all play home and homes every year, but this would be a start.

Different situation. It was the first one and Buffalo was the only team that volunteered to be in the test run. NBC wanted the Rangers, they said no, Buffalo said "pick me! pick me!" and got picked.

Also, Ryan Miller is very marketable to an American audience.

The only Winter Classic I see involving the Hawks in the next couple of years would be a rematch with Detroit at Ford Field, The Big House, or Comerica Park. I think the league wants to stick with games that involve teams in the same conference.

I think they should start allowing Canadian teams in the Winter Classic. Hawks vs. Canucks outdoors would be awesome!

As long as we don't have to deal with another NBC/Bettman Ovie-Sid love fest

Oh well, figured that was a long shot anyway.

Now to focus my hopes on Hawks @ Blues for the 2013 Winter Classic.

That's pretty cool. I'm assuming the roof will be open and it's in the afternoon.
