Here's where it gets very traditional. Drafting talent.

Comparing Toronto to Boston, we see that our forward draftees include just Kulemin. That's nowhere close.

Probably the only enigmatic piece, but hey, good on them for identifying him.

Not at all. If this was an attempt to parallel the Leafs and the Bruins, it's pretty awful.

We need one generational free agent dman, 3 more two-way scoring forwards that are drafted and developed in our system, and overall better trades if we want to build a team like Boston.

I also don't think trading multiple 1st rounders after stripping the roster got them in that position.
We don't have to build a team like Boston. Every team is built differently.

I was showing that you don't have to draft in the top 3 to build a good team. As far as the drafting goes, it's a little early to say the Leafs haven't drafted talent.
I don't think any rational person would suggest we tank to get a top 3 at this juncture. It made sense to do it before but unfortunately Dr. Burke misdiagnosed the team.

Maybe Kadri will still have a breakout season next year...

Hopefully Marchand continues to troll the Canucks.

It annoys me that the opening face-off is at 8:15 in Boston, but 8:20 in Vancouver.

Yes, I'm easily annoyed.

Its sad to say, but Kabs is still playing terrible.

As much as I like the guy, he just doesn't have it right now.

he only plays a few minutes a game. what's he supposed to do? not defending him btw. just saying he's been demoted like right away. not a great move to build a players confidence.

At his point, I think the Bruins are satisfied that Kabs is not making any glaring errors like he was earlier in the playoffs.

You can't really blame the Bruins for that though. He's been given the opportunity but he's be horrible.

Right now isn't the time to build up his confidence and give him extra minutes. This is as close to a must win as it gets.

One miscue and they're done. I really think next goal wins.

To be honest, I thought it more of a push than a crosscheck.

Don't worry, he'll end up scoring the cup winning goal or something.

Good game so far. It looks like Vancouver is ready to start playing to their strengths again. Could see this one going either way. As much as Vancouver has not backed down as they did in the last two games, Boston has had some strong shifts and very close chances.

Aided by the good old snap of the head back by Burrows. He should trademark that.

Burrows is down and Hurt! Hughson should know better.

Canucks get the opener, let's see if it's enough.

If the Canucks end up winning four at home by a goal, and the Bruins win three at home by blowouts, will everyone outside Vancouver discount their Cup win?
