I don't see Glass winning either one of those two spots. The third line LW job will likely go to a more established player, and I'd like to see us give that 4th line LW job to Bill Sweatt. He's got all the tools to be a solid bottom-6 player for us.
BWAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAHA. I think you forget who our coach is. In that scenario Glass makes the roster every time. Especially in the regular season when we need someone to be 'tough'

Look, Glass proved me wrong in the middle of the regular season and played some decent games, just like SOB last season (SOB had a complete season turnaround though). Here is the problem:

It's not the bloody regular season anymore!!!

Linden is still in great shape.....

Maybe a one-game contract should be offered

Get it done Gillis

To be fair to Tanner Glass, no one should ever be passing to him, nor does he expect anyone to. Tanev made a rookie mistake.

AV is going to bench Tanev for making Glass look bad

Poor Tanner Glass! In every sense.

I thought he was an ok fourth line winger this season. Tambi is better yes but really, the difference is not that much.

Glass has yet to develop an NHL confidence offensively but it might be there, he had decent college numbers and was captain of Dartmouth so there is some leadership background there.

Tambo did nothin in his games, did not miss a chance because did not get one. Tanner actually has played well in the last two. Alot of decent hits. No excuse for the miss but the fourth line has 0 goals in playoffs and the team is still one game away from the goal.

Sir, we are going to have to disagree on the concept of 'decent hits' on this one. Tambo and Oreo with their speed were on top of the Bruins a lot more. Again, full credit to Glass regular season but he is dead weight right now.

Heh, I don't remember if it was Hordichuck or O'Brien who - after Sundin had made a pass to him - said something about being surprised and asking himself if Sundin didn't know who he was passing to.

When I saw that Fan on the Tanev pass.... I thought, "I bet Hodgson is jumping up and down right now."

Wouldn't be surprised to see Hodgson make the roster on the 4th.

We need to stop putting guys who are 3rd 4th line players in the AHL into our 4th line. Its too bad we have a coach who is in love with plugs from the Moose. If you look at teams with good strong 4th lines they consists of players who are once top 3 line players and is struggling to score. AKA players with good potiential who never turned out. Or they consists of younger players thats starting out who would have potiential. Enforcers and plugs who never should be in the NHL like Rypien and Glass should never have made the team in the first place.

This is where we call up Rypien right?

I mean, Rypien VS Lucic/Thornton to start game 6 would just be insane.

Get his name on the cup... only sentimental reasons... We're not going to punch our way to the cup.

why would we bring up a player that was a healthy scratch in the Mooses playoff run?? Not to mention Rypien has probably been sitting at home eating potatoe chips for the last month or 2. I love hows some fans think Rypien is our solution to our toughness problems but they fail to realize that Rypien is small as sh*ts and is even worse than Glass when it comes to playoff toughness.

Unless you want to fire up a Boston team that is bigger and tougher than us why would you start a fight in the beginning of the game?

Imagine how quiet TD Garden would be if Rypien KOed Lucic to start the game.

Not like it's going to happen anyways, but could you imagine?

Wasn't he injured (eg., not a "healthy scratch")?

Glass had some useful games in the regular season. Got in the odd tussle and added some 4th line jam. Right now with the game at the highest level - he looks lost and he's been lost throughout the playoffs.

The options are not great though for the left wing slot. May just have to keep running him out there.

I'm looking forward to seeing a 4th line of Volpatti, Lapierre and Oreskovich next year. Give those two kid wingers a season of experience and they'll look good in the 2012 Cup run.

I have my money Lucic in that fight. I don't ever recall Rypien ever KOing anyone. He did injury Clune last year but I think that's just because he already had shoulder problems.
