Nice vid! Stoked for this kid to make it over next year. Barring any setback in dev this upcoming season a perfect Semin replacement. Already imaging a <insert plugger> - MoJo - Knuznetsov line.

Would love that inserted player to be Ryane Clowe.

Great video, thanks.

His transition to the north American game is going to be interesting. Just based on these highlights, play the puck and he's going to beat you. But to my eyes it looks like he leaves himself open to monster hits. It's going to be interesting to see how elusive he is when defenders are going for his center of mass rather than his puck.

Hopefully he can become Evengy seeing as how thats the player he projects similar to. Then again guys like Malkin don't come along everyday.

He's talented enough to play now. But is he a winner?

You've already forgotten what he did at WJCs this past season? Damn near willed his team to win....

Kid has so much skill and creativity when the puck is on his stick. Hopefully he'll take another step forward in the KHL this season.

Never got what that meant. In fact I hate that word. Giving one guy credit for the success of an entire team is incredibly unfair in my book. Putting together a team of winners is essentially putting together a bunch of guys that have been part of good teams. It's like you get points for being in the right place in the right time. I have no problem with calling players clutch and willing to take their game to another level during high pressure situations, Carlson is like that to, but just calling them a winner because they happened to be on the winning team isn't sound scouting to me.

I'm pretty sure most hardcore sports fans understand what "winner" means. It encompasses values like team-work, leadership, professionalism, self-motivation, etc.

The Caps have several players I'd call "winners". They also have losers; and are poorly coached.

We'll see what EK is made of when he actually makes the leap and shows he wants to win in NA and can play with the big boys.

I hope he learns quicker than our current lot that that dangling mess doesn't work so well against the best in the world.

Well he certainly is different from our other Russians. Married at 19. Staying back in Russia to play.

Do you think he really will come over? Keys to an appartment from a regional governor. Gets his KHL revised for a better deal. Is his KHL contract worth more than the 3 years ELC in the NHL?

Just thinking.

pretty sure he will come over next year. And i think it good for him to stay one more year in Russia, he will get plenty of ice time, probably play some games for team Russia and get stronger and better. Next year he will have same age as Ovechkin and Malkin had when they came over.
