One of the ads on HF was offering a free container of JIF peanut butter to ship directly to my home.

And I must admit, I was tempted to go through with it. Just to keep it around long enough to the point where someone will if the peanut butter's still good and I'll say "Well, I got it for free off the Internet surfing a hockey-based message board".

It's probably because it's 3 in the morning, but that scenario cracks me up.

Not a fan of the cap floor in the NFL. 90% of 120 million?

Great, now the Bucs will be the Florida Panthers of the NFL.

People in my area have Harry Potter fever. You know it's serious when girls dress up as HP and pretend to have wand fights in the parking lot.

I'm pretty sure every area has Harry Potter fever.
I went to the midnight release last night and there was a lot of people dressed up with wands and whatnot.

Not going to lie
I'm sad it's all over

It is kind of crazy that it's been 14 years since the first book came out.

I think its kind of funny that some Blues fans tried to claim they wouldn't trade Johnson for Staal and now all they do is trash on him.

My freshman year at ECU was right after they'd hit it big, and they came back to play a surprise show in town. Word got out real quick when a bunch of equipment with 'Hootie' stenciled on it was being unloaded into the club.

I didn't get to go see them that night. I had something else going on and found out at the last moment about it.

I was there back then. They played downtown one night, at a club who's name escapes me at the minute, under a "stage name". But you're right, word quickly spread, even way back then in the days before cell phones, and the place was packed and people were lined up to get in.

Espn featured a "worst ways to lose" top 10 today. Good job rubbing salt in the wounds. If they were worth a damn the 2009 Devils would have made that list.
