Unless we have a free agent winger we are looking at getting I'd rather keep Wolski.

I don't think PIT would give us a 2nd round pick for them, maybe a 3rd or 4th.

I would do that, IF like I said we have a winger either readily acquired via trade or free agency.

You want to keep Wolski? If we could get his cap hit off our salary cap we could possibly make a run at Richards AND Ville Leino/Jussi Jokinen, which is a major upgrade.

Fair enough. That was my initial thought but moved the pick up one round due to adding Weise in the deal.

There are much better options out there for Pittsburgh. Wolski is in the process of playing himself out of this league.

Wolski wouldn't fit in with the Pens. He's the antithesis of how Dan Bylsma wants his hockey to be played.

Like I said unless there is a top line LW'er that we're targeting to play beside potentially Richards and Gaborik then there is no need to get rid of him.

I don't see Pittsburgh touching Wolski at all with his $3.8 million cap hit for 2011-12.

or, you know, the Penguins could go after Jokinen/Leino themselves without trading anything away, and probably for a smaller caphit... also the Pens are loaded on the left side with Neal/Kunitz/Cooke...

Don't want Wolski unless Sather buys him out.

Im 99% certain we don't have a third rounder?

Instead of Wolski, what would it take to obtain Callahan's right?

More than what you'd most likely be willing to offer.

Ranger's would have to add a 1st to counter Wolski's negative value.

Let's be serious here. With Wolski's tiny buyout, he is at worst worth 0, not something negative.
