Favorite all time ranger

I assume the consensus will be Graves and Leetch, but my favorite has been Jagr. Best player I've seen in a Ranger jersey.

Only been watching for 6 seasons now, but Jagr was great.

Probably Lundqvist. I've had to deal with some pretty ****** teams since I started watching.

I cried the day when it was announced that we will not resign him. Such an elite player. He sold tickets alone and was a nice embark to the franchise after the dark days of Messier leading the team.

Tough call.

I have only been a Rangers fan since a year or two before the lockout.

I was forever greatful for Jagr bringing the team back from out of the abyss that I knew before the lockout and now Lundqvist is my favorite.

They are probably my two favorite: Past (Jagr); Present (Lundqvist).

what the??? 'dark days of Messier'??

Now I'm no NYR fan - but I thought this guy was recognized as one of Hockey's greatest leaders of all time??

Pretty much my sentiments... Lundqvist is elite and is almost always on his game.

I was a major kovalev fan back in the day, but its hard loving him as much as i used too.

Jagr was easily the greatest season i've seen played by an individual in a rangers jersey.

I really loved Richter, but Lundqvist is certainly up there, just needs to win a cup to overtake him.

If the Rangers win a cup soon, I can really see a few players going down as my all-time favorites, including Staal and Callahan.

And then there's Messier.

Why would you put Jagr over Leetch and Messier? Because Jagr is more skilled than either one? Maybe....but I'll go with the guys who lead the team to its first cup in 54 years.

Not unless you didn't watch the Rangers throughout the 90's. Than my bad.

As weird as it sounds, I'd probably be Dan Girardi. I just love his balls (no homo)

Growing up watching with my parents I always wore my little Mike Gartner jersey (I'm only 25 now, but I remember him being my favorite). Favorite player after that was Nedved, loved watching him play loved his wrist shot, loved the autograph he gave me after meeting him at a practice. Now my favorite players are Callahan and Lundqvist, like everyone else on here. But overal I'd say Nedved was my favorite Ranger.

I had the fortunate pleasure and honor to have watched majority of Brian Leetch's career.

Since about 91.

Love Leetch. Grew up practicing out on the street in my old Rollerblade brand skates (same exact ones the guy from the movie Airborne wore) and on ice on the weekends for hours everyday for years to be like Leetch.

Still have never met him, though unfortunately. And I REALLY hopes do get to meet him oneday so I can thank him and talk hockey and life with him.

I've met Graves.

And got to skate/play with Rod Gilbert when I was 10 years old. Ill never forget it. At a clinic at Mackay in Englewood, NJ. I came in second place in a shootout tournament. He skated with me with his arm on my shoulder talking hockey.

But Leetchie is my favorite player of all time.

Oh he was and I appreciate the fact that he was the missing piece for our cup and the guarantee he made during game 6 against Jersey but his last years where it seemed like he would never leave left a bitter taste in my mouth. He should have retired long ago.

Easily Leetch. But current Ranger would be Lundqvist, but Prust is getting way up there.

Put Jagr on that 94 team and they cakewalk through the cup finals. He brought this team respectable again by putting up an MVP like season in his first full year. Him along with Lundqvist have been the turning point for the franchise, I hope he one day returns as a Ranger.

I like Leetch a lot, it had to be between him and Jagr but I only glimpsed Leetch past his prime. My father was a huge fan of his, rightfully so too.

Brian Leetch was one of the most amazing players I ever saw in my life. Hockey on TV then did not do him justice. You had to be there to believe it.
Bostons really chapskate GM Harry Sinden would always talk crap about him.
