Maybe something like
Raymond, Ballard for Boyes Weber?

Weber is imo the least available of all the young d-men other than Myers. Raymond is not enough of an upgrade, if any at all, over Boyes to warrant giving him up. Ballard's value is at an all time low (warranted or not is another question), I wouldn't do it.

Boyes is making 4 million a year, that's a non-starter. If we can spend 4 million on a winger we're better off trying to sign Gagne as a free agent.

I would trade my soul for Loui Eriksson.

Dallas fans, tell me what you want and I'll give it to you. I will even consult the New Jersey Devils for the specifics in trading my soul.

If for some reason seto doesn't want to sign here, what would you give for his RFA rights? Looking for TWD. Not error, obviously.

There'll be loads of capspace this summer.

Ballard is almost certainly gone, probably Salo too and hopefully Raymond.

Vancouver would be stupid not to go after Dany Heatley. He's an all-star winger.

It's 2007, right?

Reasoning: Brad Boyes really does get a bad rap, IMHO. He was pretty good when he came to Buffalo from the Blues, until he was forced to play center. He's MUCH better at wing, and playing with Kesler I think he would put up a 20+40, 60 point year. Chris Butler is a good, young defenseman, and the Canucks would probably jump at the opportunity to swap Ballard for him.

This may be way off. I'm kinda tired
No way, our second is too valuable to us. You would have to settle for two firsts instead.

What about M. A. Gragnani?
Is he Right handed? I can't remember, and his contract status.

The problem with the OP is that we are already close enough to the cap limit without taking on more.
Buffalo needs more depth in D, and Ballard could step in and play big minutes.
I wouldn't base much on his performance in game 4 SCF, since he'd been sitting since the SJS series and it was his first ever SCF game. He was probably more nervous than Chris Tanev.

In a trade the only person I want Gillis to go after is Parise and we all know how likely that is.

The free agent market is where we can find someone.

that said I think a revolving wing of Raymond Higgins Samuelsson and Hodgson will be fine for next season.

Where does that leave Hansen? I don't believe he is only a 4th liner. He's proven over the last year he is a solid 3rd line grinder who can PK and skate circles around slow dmen.

If Higgins is re-signed, I'd like to see Raymond pushed down to Hansen's line with Manny. All great defensive forwards, and could really play well together.
Lapierre with Oreo n whoever else we find to play 5 mins a game

I don't. See why vancouver needs one. I think they'll be foccued on keeping their blueline depth upto snuff, as salo and bieska will go ufa.

Only way I see them getting a top six forward is if they send samuelson(who's on a good contract imo) with a draft pick.

Assuming ballard lacks a nmc they could always waive him to create the needed cap space to make a deal for a player with a bigger cap hit.

I know it would never happen becuase of injury history and how often they play each other; but I'd like hemsky for edler.

Hemsky and kesler would be a damn good combo and edler would fix a lot of edmonton's problems on the back end.
