A lot of positive things said about Travis Boyd as well. Those NTDP forwards always seem to be pretty well-rounded.

If anyone doesnt know, twitter is the way to follow dcamp. #CapsDevCamp among others.

Its nice to see others noting that there is a significant bump up in physical play this year. I cant help but think it was asked of the players. Or more probably, in the past, they were asked to not be overly aggressive. Bruce doesnt like the shenanigans.

Sky Kerstein says he only had 2 goals and Edmondson got the first goal.

Then again, you guys maybe right about Chimera's role on the team being in jeopardy.

SWhyno: Garrett Haar is probably 5 years away from anything with #Caps, but he's BY FAR my favorite kid at development camp.

Paquette drilled Adam Mitchell with a blind-side hit in a development camp scrimmage on Thursday and was not only unapologetic about it later – he compared himself to a major NHL villain.

“I’m a pretty dirty player,” Paquette said. “I did my job, like Matt Cooke.”
Yeesh.

Love it too. I hope he has NHL skating to back up that tough attitude. Otherwise he's useless.

I also got a kick out of the haar love given the draft day talk.

Sounds like a moron. Caps don't need turds like Cooke. I hope the kid's just naive.

Pacquette is an *******. This is Washington. Compare yourself to Hunter. Not Cooke.

Roster right now should look something like this:
[omitted for brevity]

Poti you figure will be LTIR, Caps can get away with 7 D-men on the 23 man roster I suppose. Then move DJ King and that's two roster spots, unless I missed someone. Thus, I don't see the need to move the likes of Chimera in such a situation.
Sjogren or Hanson could probably fit on as the 13th/14th forward without much trouble, but I think the general logic is that most would rather have Eakin playing in Hershey than sitting in the press box in Washington. Mixed feelings about Perreault as an extra forward.

Personally, Eakin should be in the AHL to see how he handles it and make him hungry.

It also, gives the Caps time to evaluate Laich at Center and Sjogren (should be make the team.

Option 1:
Ovechkin - Backstrom - Knuble
Brouwer - Laich - Semin
Chimera - Johansson - Ward
Hendricks - Halpern - Sjogren
x-Beagle
x-Eakin

Option 2:
Ovechkin - Backstrom - Knuble
Laich - Johansson - Semin
Brouwer - Eakin - Ward
Chimera - Halpern - Hendricks
x-Sjogren
x-Beagle

What are the chances we see Sjogren at 3C and Laich at 2LW?

Something like:

Ovechkin - Backstrom - Knuble
Laich - Johansson - Semin
Brouwer - Sjogren - Ward
Chimera - Halpern - Hendricks

I actually think that's the most plausible scenario. That's the exact lineup I think will come out of tc.

Thanks, I've been following most of what I can get. I am really hoping Sjogren turns out to be a sleeper player. Funny watching him with those younger players. Looks sort of like the college guy that went back to play hockey with the high school seniors, lol.
