CBA discussions are not going well. If there is a lockout (when there is a lockout) it will be a long one. Where will you spend the money you save by not attending games, buying cable TV packages, and memorabilia, etc?

It'll go toward my son who is due to enter this world on September 20th.

Get this......Mom still doesn't know that his name (Calder) is hockey related, even though she suggested it. Let's keep this our secret until he's born alright?

Congrats TexSen Is this your first kid?

Put him in the hockey program as soon as he is 4-5!

(You can see my son on my avatar, he will turn 13 this fall and it'll be his 4th year of hockey)

Yep, first child.......He's already got infant Sens socks from my side of the family and Texas A&M (Gig 'Em Aggies....WHOOP!) infant clothes from his Mom's side of the family so he'll be indoctrinated correctly into the world of sports (None of that blue and white or burnt orange gear for him! I think we all know that certain NHL team, the other is that "other" college football team here in Texas).

I can't wait to put him on skates. He'll be taking a few twirls around the rink before he can fit into skates in his Dad's arms just to get him aquainted with one of the best places on earth.....the hockey rink.

We have plenty of university hockey to watch here in Boston, with BU, BC, Harvard and Northeastern all playing in the city. Ray Bourque's son, Chris, who was drafted by the Caps, will play for Boston University starting this fall. He will also help christen their new arena in January(below).
