Worst contract in the league?

Well. Now that the most crazy part of the FA-season probably is over, what contract do you consider the worst league-wide? Including all contracts.

Few candidates:

Clarkson - not a fan of either the term or cap-hit. Just an insane contract, I mean what has the guy really shown?

T Myers - while he had a good rookie-season he has been flat out bad a lot of the time since.

Zach Parise - just not a fan of it. I understand the Wilds were kind of desperate to get a couple of great players but I can't see Parise having more than 5 years of close-to-ppg-hockey left in his body.

Rick Nash - I just find him overrated.

Obvious choices: Luongo, Hossa (great players but the term is just crazy), B Richards

Other candidates: Zajac, Streit, Mike Smith, Carle (5.5 for what exactly?),

It's an assumption based on past seasons performances. What contract do you dislike the most in the league?

Remember to not rage at each other, folks.

Have a feeling he will say Clarkson and thus contradicting his previous post.

Flyers fan saying Streit's contract should be mentioned. Clarkson's is worse, and Clowe's is pretty bad as well, in terms of the new contracts.

We signed Zajac to that deal before he had a bum season, like the whole team did. If he goes back to 60pt pace, the deal is fine

I don't agree with Parise and Nash. Both great players.

M.Koivu - Too much for a Bergeron that cant shoot.
Nash - Way too much for a ~60 p winger
Perry - Overpaid for career year which he likely never replicates
Wideman - Overpaid roughly a 5.25 million

Matthew Carle and Dennis Wideman.

For "puck moving d-men" there's not much they bring to the table outside of horrendous giveaways and playing Andy Delmore defense.

Mike Smith has earned that salary!!!! Nash is not overrated at all IMO. If you think 5 30+ goal seasons prior to this last one is overrated then i don't know what to tell ya. Hell this last season he was practically a PPG player. The **** he gets is crazy!

Parise wasn't worth the salary on his first year, 12 years left... I don't see him as a guy who is a difference maker at age 30+. Basically any similar contract that goes to about age 40 unless player is elite and able to produce. I think suter will be fine as an other example.

I would say that the Hossa contract is a terrific one. Also, Zajac should get a chance to rebound after a dismal effort from not just him, but the whole squad (ditto for Myers).

The Carle contract is a joke and should have been near the top of your list, while Nash's should not be on the list at all in my opinion.

Finally the Clarkson contract...lol.

I agree with this statement. Though I know Perry will still produce well and not turn into a Gomez.
