no harm, no foul - as long as hockey prowess can back up occasional ogling...it's just the bonus of being a female fan...but, puck bunnies on the other hand...oh good lord stanley, I wanna kick 'em in the derriere

back to Ekman

He tries - but, gets knocked off the puck rather easily - definately not a power foward by any means...soft hands, relatively speedy...he seems to be a good fit within the Sharks org.

I know the last comment was NOT your justification for keeping him, but it annoys me when women do that! Not you in particular... Some women I know are the biggest Chad Wiseman supporters I know... why? Hmmm...

Can't wait to see what my puckbunny friends (who think Joe Thornton and Mike York are the best players ever!) have to say about Strudwick.
Oh please, learn to live with it. I'm not one of guys. And it's not like I haven't had to plow through any number of posts commenting on how hot some female who sang the national anthem is or was directed to a website (full of half naked women) that some guy thought was oh so cool and just had to share it.

Lol saw that coming.

Raised by women, you don't have to be a rocket scientist to know when a guy has it coming.

Yeah Brook is one of the few women i've encountered on a hockey board who actually knows the sport {As compared to being a puck bunny}.

I couldn't believe Sather wouldn't, at least, give Ekman a look 2 years ago.

Only positive is that Wiseman (no slouch in the looks department either) might become a legit NHL 3rd and even 2nd liner. In that case, if we HAD brought up Ekman and he had played like ****, San Jose might not have made the trade.

And it's good we got a GOOD LOOKING GUY! That's why Sather traded for Wiseman! Screw everyone, we can win the cup with a team full of Wisemans and Strudwicks...

I have no problem with a guy making a power play and saying he'll play in Europe if he doesn't get a one-way contract. That's what the free market is all about. He probably decided that playing in Europe was better than playing in the AHL.

You have to keep in mind that for Swedish players, the NHL was not really their dream. They didn't grow up idolizing Wayne Gretzky or anyone like that. They grew up with their own leagues. They come to North America for a job, and they have to give up a lot to do it. They have to give up the comforts of home, family, friends, and good salary. They get paid more in Europe than they would in the AHL. Many of them reasonably decide that coming to NA isn't worth it unless it's to play for NHL money.

Not the case... I just hate that connection between players and their looks... Wiseman csn't play in traffic and his defense is non-existent... I am a fan, but there's too many girls, or women, that think he's the best NYR. Not pointing any fingers...

I do fine myself.

Are you commenting on his games as a Ranger? Or on his games in the AHL? Sure, there are things he has to work on to make it to the Show, but as a Barons player in Cleveland, he more than showed his ability to play through traffic and he wasn't too shabby on defense, either. And, reading through this thread, I see that you're the one who brought up his looks. BrooklynRanger commented on Ekman's looks. Women do that at times. It's only natural. This does not make us puckbunnies. Just my 2 cents.

Boy, talk about a rant! Too bad you can't take an offhanded comment and treat for what it was worth. Now, you are just looking silly, ranting about one poster--who knows her hockey at least as well as Sather in Wiseman's case (who came very positively recommended by the way). I sit too far from the ice to get a good look at his face ( ) but I've liked what I've seen of Wiseman on the ice. I certainly haven't given up on him making a positive contribution just yet.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Chad Wiseman has been my favorite player for the last 3 years. I have been posting here for over a year to share my opinoins and thoughts with other Rangers fans. I might be his biggest supporter and post about him quite often, all I have ever posted are my thoughts on Chad's abilities and talent. I have never mentioned anything about his looks.
