Handzus question

Could Michal Handzus be a captain? If not could he be a solid leader? Just wondering...

Not for the flyers... the reaosn i say this is because theres so many leaders already on the team and ultimately the best man gets the job... On a team like... The Chicago BlackHawks possibly. However not for a clear cut contender.

Yes Handzus is a hard working player. He will do anything to get a win. If LeClair is gone this year he will get a A. Keith the C with Eric and Hands with the A's. Kenny not bad either but J.R. is a loose cannon so not A for you.

I don't think so. He doesn't seem like the vocal type.

Why do you want to know?

If he was still with Gretz's dogs he would have the C on.

Yeah, Doan would still be captain. Doan might be up there league-wide as far as captains go, IMO.

another key to a great captain is communication... Handzus isn't that great at english were the majority of the flyers are either canadian or american

The majority of players on this squad are still European or Russian.

He comes off as too quiet to be Captian material.

Besides we don't want him Captain. No team has ever won the cup without a Canadian captain. I'd give kaps an "a" before Zues.

Kapanen and Rico will most likely get the A's if Leclair gets bought-out in the end, potentially Roenick, but doubt it. Kapanen already has worn the A with this team, and is a leader among the European contingent(drew praises for his helping of Pitkanen), Rico obviously a former cappy himself, and been given the A in the past when he was around and the opening was available.

The fact that Rico is in town skating with the prospects says a lot as well I think.

I think you mean North American, as Derian Hatcher won the Cup as captain of the Dallas Stars.

Is Kap coming back for sure yet? I hope J.R. does not get an A. Good guy but not someone I want to see in that role. As for Rico he would not hurt you.
