NY's 1st Annual Boardie Awards - Voting Open

I really like this idea but for some reason we just stopped doing it, so I wanted to start it up again and expand on it.

With the NHL Awards right around the corner I thought now would be a good time to honor the HF Rangers Section Posters for a wide variety of awards.

I will be keep tabs on all the voting and will reveal my answers after voting has slowed down some.

Please take the time to seriously consider every category and candidate. Also, you may only vote for one person per award but may leave some blank if you have no clue (though I prefer you vote every category).

So thank you for all that participate and good luck to all. Below is a brief explanation of each award.

Most Valuable Poster Award

• Given to the poster who exhibits class, knowledge, and great contributions to the Rangers Boards.

Calder Trophy

• Given to the poster who recently arrived on the board and immediately contributed great things.

The Albert Einstein Award

• Given to the poster who always exhibits great thought and logic in all of his/her posts.

The Eternal Optimist Award

• Given to the poster who, through good and bad times, seems to always see the light at the end of the tunnel.

The Lewis Black Award

• Given the poster who seems to always seem angry towards other posters or the Rangers Organization as a whole.

The Class Clown Award

• Given to the poster who best uses comedy to either get a point across or lighten the mode in bad times.

The Eye In The Sky Award

• Given to the moderator who best does his job while contributing to the discussion in a professional manner.

The Username Award

• Given to the poster who has the best username on the Rangers Boards.

The Avi Award

• Given to the poster who has the best avatar on the Rangers Boards.

The Eye On The Ground Award

• Given to the poster who seems to be the best future candidate for a moderator position.

The Coverboy Award

• Given to the poster who would be best suited to represent the Rangers Boards on the main section of the Boards.

The Fantasy League Award

• Given to the poster who is best at creating terrible trades.

The Shakehead Award

• Given to the poster who causes others to already shake their head before even reading his post.

The Debator Award

• Given to the poster who is best at creating a deep and meaningful debate and causing others to take on his view.

I don't think people will see it as a joke. It's pretty clear when you read the description that you need to vote for your least favorite person. I say remove that one. Anyway as I am not in high school nor do I care about an internet popularity contest I won't vote but instead will say I appreciate the contributions of many posters such as but not limited to Loffen, Rangerboy, Trxjw, and Fitzy.

Maybe I don't post enough to be a household name around everyone here but for the eternal optimist award I think I'm just about the first and only one to create "Glen Sather Appreciation Thread"s. I think about 90% of my posts are arguing how great a job he's done post lockout.

I understand if you want to vote for only a couple of categories, but don't make a post with just one category and do something stupid like vote for yourself.

If you want tot vote then at least do so for a few categories.

I will not count singular votes like that, or ones where people vote for themselves.
