Jamie Langenbrunner's next contract
The guy is an aging, pending UFA; how much would you sign him to?

Can the guy play #3C? The Ducks could sign the guy for $1M, 1 year if he can play 3C.

No he's a wing. However, depending on what Murray does at the center position, he may not be a bad option for us.

i"ll give him 2M$.
He's not that old, he's only 35 y/o.I still believe he can be a 50 points player caliber...
2009-2010 = 61 points
2008-2009 = 69 points

Better hope he signs with a division rival if last season repeats itself.
I would think the max would be 2.5.

He's a borderline 2nd-liner now so the safest bet is anything between $1-2M.

If he's still left and Montréal missed the boat on everyone, then probably Montréal.

I think Montreal is a good fit. He's probably worth 2 years, 2 mil on the market. Just don't bring him back to NJ.

He didn't exactly have the best locker room presence. But, if Montreal snags him, I'd see him with Gomez and Gionta.

I concur with this. He is a shell of his former self and needs to retire.

He would have put up 40 points in an 82 game season this year, and he had a lot of crap going on that caused it. If a team can keep him happy, he can definitely be a 50 point player, although I wouldn't bank on that past the next two years.

He had one bad year, was on a struggling team then traded to a team on a decline, would absolutely have him in Anaheim

4th liner on a competitor that's not going to give him any leadership responsbilities
2nd/3rd liner on a bottom feeder that just needs players to fill roster spots (Florida, Columbus)
1-1.2M

He sucks, he's a grump, and an apparent cancer in the locker room.
He needs to go to a team where there are vets that will put him in his place. Detroit might be a fit.

He arguably made Dallas worse. Dallas was doing amazing before the trade.
He sucks. He's a 3rd line player now who's not all that great defensively, and seems to have a chip on his shoulder.

Jamie Langenbrunner will never score 50 points in this league again. I was legitimately excited about the acquisition at the time but he was terribly underwhelming. Aside from his lack of scoring ability his game has just really aged terribly. Some guys are good at adapting their play to their declining skills; I saw none of that from Langs during his time in Dallas this season.
He's not
done because he will get a contract somewhere. But his days of being a key player on a contending team are over.

I'd take him in Edmonton as a 3rd liner to play with Omark for a year
