We're too busy picking up cheap, old journeymen. We dropped the ball not grabbing Steve Y and Boucher.

lol Luongo. What a loser. As if people think a Gold Medal just takes the choker label off. Congrats on your one nice save against Slovakia.

Well when all is said and done, grats to the Bruins. Hate a whole lot of them, but I'm at least happy for Thomas and Bergeron (and some others...).

Honestly, Vancouver just didn't deserve it the way they handled the SCF. The way they played in Boston was so sad.

I think I'll stay away from the main board for a while, please mods don't let Bruins come bragging in our own forums...

Maybe seeing the Bruins win the Cup will make Habs management wake the **** up and sign Markov already.

This cup is tainted.

And can fans now admit that Luongo is an inconsistent - overrated goalie?

****, I'd forgotten that. Figures. That franchise is just incapable of producing a 100% classy hockey player ever since Bourque left.

You know, if the Habs won the Cup, aside from the absolute delirium brought on by that achievement, I'd probably get a kick out of the whining on the Bruins board.

In others words, we should probably just suck it up and accept the fact that they won. It's hard to sit here and honestly say they didn't earn it, regardless of what I think of their players.

I won't congratulate them because I don't like them, but they earned it.

The stars were aligned for the Bruins this season.

A "strong hockey play" changed everything.

Scum bags won the day. Bad guys have won. Enough said.

Oh, and Luongo, when will you stop choking? Softdins, will you one day step up? Sad for Vancouver and sad for Canada. Vancouver will become the next Senators I'm afraid.

Great post on another board... "If the Bruins played the Taliban, I cheer for the Taliban"....lol
That would be a brutal road game!

Bruins won the Cup, I'm going to give them credit got wanting it and getting it. All we can do now is move on and hope for the Habs to do the same next year.

What annoys me the most right now is that, somewhere in Vancouver, that loser at NESN is jubilating.

Was clear as day. Good overall team effort came away as the winner. You need to be opportunistic and they were. Did what they have to do to win. Not the greatest team ever.....but a Cup is a cup. Congrats.

Let's move on and let's hope for a fun draft. Oh and a Markov signing this week or next week would be fun too....

You don't NEED to be a great club to win the Cup, if everything falls your way. Now I wouldn't build my team on the premise that three goaltenders I'm going to face will turn out sub-replacement performances. But maybe it puts the talk about how the Habs don't have a shot into perspective.

I'm almost looking forward to the nonsense that gets published about the Bruins now. I've come to terms with the notion. A lot of media guys are going to be embarassing themselves.
What a joke this is. They have, arguably, the best defenseman in the league. A total shutdown guy - paired with Seidenberg, they were amazing.

Plus they have way more depth upfront - it isn't even close.

If you watched this series closely, their 4th line was great. Compare that to our 4th line with Pyatt and Halpern and it's clear they had the better team for a Cup run. That's the key, a CUP RUN, not one series.

Plus they have an aggressive front office willing to take chances to win.

Seidenberg, Horton, Peverley, Kelly, Kaberle (finals especially) - aside from Kaberle - all great moves.

Yup, some said the stars were aligned. Well, the NHL was too..

Of course, Ruins is a good solid team but without little "favors", they might not be here now.

Kaberle? Yeah sure, when you win the cup, EVERY move was a great move. Everyone looks good.

Not even close? I'd argue one goal close.

I gotta watch this B's crap on the news all week now. Their is not one positon that we are stronger than the B's.They won the cup and Habs have been golfing for two months while our GM signs "depth" players

I wouldn't be so bothered if Chara had received even a token suspension for his hit. Otherwise, meh.
