I had a dream last night that we drafted Couturier with our sixth, so that's my vote.

But I'd also be happy with Zibanejad.

It's really hard to say, but if we move up it will be to take Huberdeau or Landeskog, and if we stay where we are we'll take Strome or Couturier. I don't see any other outcomes for Ottawa.

But why do you continue to bring up that the Sens are apparently high on Strome, but ignore the fact that the same 'insiders' of BDP and Senschirp have also said that we are very high on HUberdeau and Lando. And not to mention our very own head scout has said some very high praise for Zibanejad...

That's what's confusing.

I know this board has definately talked quite a bit about the first round and especially the #6 pick, but we should be able to find some top quality guys in round 2.

Someone mentioned that they beleive the Sens won't be drafting a netminder this year (think it was Broken Tier), from either a link or Dorion talking about not taking one, but I really like Christopher Gibson.

Normally I have sided towards European netminders in the past, and although I think John Gibson is the #1 rated netminder, I think Christopher is the better player. He play on an absolute garbage team in Chicoutami, facing 30+ shots a night and still had a respectable save % and gaa. He looked pretty solid in all my viewings on him.

Outside of Lehner, we really have nothing in terms of goaltending depth, and I would like to see us take come chances on some guys either in the 2nd or mid round...

The only Euro goalie I like are Perhonen and Hellberg...

I don't necessarily only bring up Strome. I only address the subject of Strome because he is brought up by others (if you look at my post above I believe Huberdeau and Landeskog would be the targets if we moved up.) I know that the Sens are high on them. I was just pointing out that based on what we've seen and what the Sens have given us to work with it's pretty clear that they value Strome over Zibanejad. I never said they didn't like Zibanejad; I just think there's no chance they take him over Strome, Couturier, Landeskog or Huberdeau.

If I had to guess their preference in order...

Landeskog
Huberdeau
Strome
Couturier

Although Strome and Couturier could easily be switched, as could Huberdeau and Strome. I don't ignore the other prospects, but people on here seem to ignore the fact that you guys constantly bring up not wanting Strome or something bad about him so I'm just addressing specific posts for the most part.

For me it depends on who we take first, but I like Jenner, Rattie and Jensen (unlikely.) Jurco wouldn't be a bad fit either.

Saying our scouts want Zibanejad more than Strome isn't something bad about Strome... I don't remember many people even saying they don't want Strome... it's a relative thing, we are talking about some of the top 10 players in the world in their age group.

Personally, I haven't seen enough of any to give an opinion on them as players, but frankly, even though there's a good chance he's with us in two weeks, I'd love it if the discussion could stay on someone other than Strome for one page.

Maybe we can do a page of discussion on #21... begin:

EDIT: ahh, I see we've started well!!!

I think I'll die a lil' bit inside if Huberdeau ends up in Florida. Such a talent should NOT be wasted in that dump of a franchise.

You're right, the franchise should move to Quebec city.

Yeah I personally like the idea of Peumpel at 21 and tbh I felt the 10 to 20 had alot of the prospect that I haven't seen bit a lot people talking about so my idea is they'll go around there.

Bit I'm not an expert I am just trying to excite a 10 to 20 convo to realistically see what's at 21.

JT Miller would be a nice pick at 21 with that list, although I don't think he makes it there.

Miller, Rattie, Puempel, Jensen or Jurco.
