and sit right behind their GD bench with a replica Stanley Cup next to a Hawks fan. Never in my life have I despised a team as much as those guys. I was physically ill on Monday thinking they might be able to raise the cup on our ice. I didn't quite get the Canucks hate until we played them. I get it now. Cheap shots to the end. Spearing McQuaid. Burrows going down like a prom date with Recchi just laughing at him. If any Hawks fan has tickets and thinks it's a good idea let me know. I'll fly out and taunt those bums all night.

If you do, make sure you let us all know. I'm sure most guys on here would love to share a beer with a fan of the team that crushed Vancouver's spirit.

They are fun. I've been to four Hawks/Canucks playoff games. They're so intense at the UC. I also saw a regular season game in Vancouver last year. Their crowd was loud, but quite rude. They are fantastic games.

We'd love to have you here. Start a "riot squad" chant when you come.

It's too bad that the canucks had to make it to the Cup for the rest of HF and the hockey world to understand how pathetic and despicable this vancouver canucks organization is top to bottom (minus Malholtra). Us Hawk fans have known this better than anyone for the last 3 years.

Kudos to Boston for beating these chumps. I sure was nervous they might pull it out, allowing them to get to game 7 before being trumped makes it even sweeter seeing that team cry like the cowards they are.

I'll buy you a beer if you come out to Chicago. Any reason to rally against Vancouver is an excuse for a beer.

a little off topic, but... the bummer with the NHL schedules in this era, is the 2 last Stanley Cup champions, who are both original 6 teams - will likely only play each other once next year. GJ NHL.

I'm IN! Life long B's fan and the Hawks have always been my #2 team. Now that bond is much tighter since I understand the hatred. How were they (the Nucks) able to hide their true identity from the rest of the league for so long? I had no idea they were such (insert any word you feel appropriate: Here) We need to flood the UC with B's and Hawks jerseys and be relentless ALL NIGHT LONG! My in laws are all from Chicago so as soon as the schedule comes out, I'm booking my trip.

I'd rather just see Hawks jerseys

This is a great idea. Went to my first Bruins home game this year during a short vacation to Boston. Great fans and good people. They've been my Eastern Conference team all playoffs.

Yeah, Hawks/Nucks games are always entertaining affairs. Could definitely pick worse rivalries to attend in person.

Can you lend us Timmy Thomas for a couple of nights? Doesn't even have to be for hockey purposes, guy seems like a really cool dude.
We'll lend you Kaner, he really knows how to celebrate a cup win...and loooooves killing Luongo's spirit.

Thanks to all the Hawks fans, you guys were awesome, and the Alberta fan bases as well. United by their hatred of the Canucks no doubt and now Boston can be added to the list.

With the guys you've got plus a great leader like Toews you will be a threat to win the cup on any given year for sometime to come and I'm going to root for Chicago more now.

Anyways, quick question about off topic, but I heard there was a DVD for the Hawks when they won last year as there is for the Bruins this year. I ordered it right away, curious how was the one from last year, what was it like?

cheers

they showed 10 minutes of the most importent RS games and the 2009 POs. After that they showed the POs round for round (highlights with experts, players and guys like Sassone or Foley give commentarys)

I love this DVD

you should buy both, 2010 and 2011

The DVD was awesome. I really liked it. They had different video of the celebration you probably didn't see on NBC or from local news stations covering it.
