Ott=Snott. Electric or plain old regular toothbrush would do. Preferably brand new. Can't do much with a used tooth brush

I remember when a bunch of my fellow Canucks' fans were screaming for Burke to sign the guy last off-season. Am I ever glad he didn't. It's not that Whitney is a bad player, it's just that he's not very effective unless he's the go to guy, something he isn't in Detroit and wouldn't have been in Vancouver. I could see a team that is looking for offense having some interest, but not until the new CBA is in place.

Brian Savage? ... PLEASE?!

There's a big group of these guys who are making quite a bit of money and aren't the players they once were, and I don't see anyone jumping on them unless they are desperate to spend the cash and there is no compensation required.

Lance Ward and a third rounder if his salary is whittled down to $1.5 million per.

While Fedorov's still the go-to guy in Anaheim, he'd be a first liner, and with Fedorov, he'd probably do well. If Fedorov can make Petr Schastlivy look good, he probably make Ray Whitney look good.

Please, all of you are talking like he's a 4th liner. He's expensive but he's definitely a top 6 forward on any team.

I know that. I'm just saying, if Schastlivy can do well with Fedorov, then Whitney can, regardless of his ability to not do well when he's not the go to guy(only reason I even said that).

Personally, I think Whitney's an awesome player. He didn't have the best of seasons in Detroit, but I think when he's out of the spotlight, he's very good.

I don't think it has anything to do with him being the "go to guy", Whitney put up several 60+ point seasons in Florida where Bure was the first option. Ray just seems to thrive playing on bad teams. Injuries did hamper Whitney this year aswell, he has scored atleast 60 points in 5 of the last 7 seasons and the two years he failed to score 60, he didn't play a full season.

That's why i say he'd be a good fit with pittsburgh. maybe for endicott, wilson, 7th.

New plan

Ray Whitney + 3.25M over two years???

COme on...thats only 1.75 a year for him. Thats just a 2 year, 3.5M deal....

Carolina, your PP sucks. Want a guy that can score 42 PP pts a year and will only cost you 1.75M????

If the Wings are going to eat that much salary, I don't think it would be worth trading him. I doubt the return would merit it and they would be better off just hanging onto him and hoping for the best.

With that said, I'd take the Tim Connolly offer earlier in the thread.
