Jagr's agent reaches out to 5 NHL teams for 2011-2012 season

http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=369160

5 teams are:

Detroit, Pittsburgh, Washington, NYR, Montreal.

I think he signs with Detroit and Pittsburgh a close 2nd.

I would like to see Datsyuk and Jagr on the same line.

Crosby, Malkin and Jagr would be fun to see on a powerplay

PIT would be a wise choice.

Dummy should have put the Oilers on the list to drive up the other offers...

What happened with Jagr wanting to play with the Oilers so badly, to play with Hemsky that everyone here was saying?

I think its quite obvious that the situation of the team when those rumours came out is significantly different. We went from a team trying to stop the bleeding to a team that has bled out. We have no room or reason to get a Jagr, and if he wants to see a Cup before he retires, the Oilers are not the team to come to.

IMO no point in wasting a roster spot on him, and I think he knows that. He won't change us into a cup contender now, and he gets in the way of developing our younger players

I think Jagr couldve been a nice insurance policy for Edmonton if Hemsky got injured at all during the year. 2 years 7 million or something. But he should probably sign in Pittsburgh and play with either Crosby or Malkin.

He probably wants to play on the ice with a star instead of ping pong in the locker room with an IR member.

hahaha such a funny joke because hemsky always injured!

It was because there is no reason for him to play here......we`re rebuilding. What use would it be to him not to try to win the cup? Plus there's no room on the left wing, we're stacked!

It would be nice to see him back in Washington, you know while they are actually a decent team.

If he signs with a team, does he have to go through waivers to give other teams a chance to match the contract? If not when does that apply?

Pittsburgh wants him back. He'll be an upgrade over Kovalev.

It would be nice to see Jagr hoist the cup with Lemieux like the good old days. It would also be awesome to see him play with Crosby or Malkin.

during the offseason it's ok. During the season it's a problem a la nabokov.

1. Hall 2. Eberle 3. Hemsky 4. Omark 5. PrV 6. RNH 7. Jagr 8. Horcoff 9. Gagner

Looks like a pretty sick top 3 lines to me.

Jagr doesn't want to play in Columbus.

Back to back last place finishes would probably temper anyones desires to be on this team.

And honestly with the Oilers rebuilding, I don't think they would want Jagr now.

I thought Lidstrom is retiring this year. Is he not retiring now?

Am I the only person who would be ecstatic with landing Jagr for 1 year, even 2, no matter the price? Sure it's like betting on a glass, but the amount our young superstars could learn from a superstar with lineage to Mario...

I think a big reason for Edmonton's success in 2005/06 was because of how much guys like Horcoff and Stoll learned from Nedved and Oates back in 2003/04. And Jagr is on a whole other level.

The only thing I've seen said publicly is that he will let Detroit know if he wants to retire before July 1.
