what. ... ??? to my sock ... at today cinema event... after an empty limo puled in to the nonexistent red carpet and every body was waiting for the vip to get out... Ference and Marchmont puled in whit a pedicab and the holy gray between them ...and they like walked up to me with lord Stanley so I can touched ... ( it was surreal) I was like a kid scared to get a slap if I touch it ....but I overcome my demons and start screaming to bring back the cup..
funny thing happened then security lady walked to the two players and sad loudly "you guys are a pain" and walked them around the limo....whit Ference having a smile of a kid who just had a slice of tomorrows birthday cake ...good times (I would post some photos just can't figure't out yet how)
good times
I considered going but rather wait until my $25 Amazon gift card comes and get it from there. The Cup is the only thing that would have gotten me to Best Buy at midnight and it still may, but looking more doubtful as time goes by.

Today your Cup will spend the day with Tomas Kaberle in Kladno, Czech Republic before travelling to "Eastern Moravia: most beautiful place in the world, and home to David Krejci."
Previously reported that Kaberle & Krejci will be participating in each other's celebrations.
Lord Stanley officially has landed in the Czech Republic and now is going through customs. Among the hundreds of hockey fans is an eager Tomas Kaberle.
When the Cup finally clears customs, Kaberle coolly walks over and hoists it out of the case to a nice ovation from the crowd.
Now Kaberle officially can kick of the party, and judging by the 20-motorcycle motorcade, this party might just last all night.

Fans flock to Stanley

After a brief stop to take some pictures with the Cup, Kaberle just entered Kladno for a stop at Velky Tanecni Sal, which appears to be a Knights of Columbus-type establishment, where hundreds of people are waiting for an opportunity to see their Stanley Cup Champion and local hero, Tomas Kaberle.
Upon entering the hall, Kaberle was greeted by a band called The Hello Piggy Band. Kaberle was brought on stage and received a sword and shield. He also presented the crowd with the Stanley Cup, and received a real hero's welcome when he hoisted it over his head.

Krejci arrives
7.20.2011 8:45 a.m. ET
After spending several hours signing autographs for over hundreds of people, David Krejci has shown up to get some face time with the Cup and some love from the many people still waiting for autographs.

An end to Day 1
7.20.2011 9:39 a.m ET
After spending several hours signing and posing for pictures Kaberle and Krejci are off to enjoy the rest of the night at a private function. Sounds like a great end to the night.
Chara presenting the Cup on Saturday, instead, as I had thought before, Friday, might just be my chance to see it.
Logistics management for a weekend trip to Slovakia is under way, I hope everything works out....
He will go on a boating trip with his father in law while photographs will be shot from a helicopter, and later on will have a barbecue with friends and his former teammates from Germany.

thanks, Shadowthrone. I'm only slightly crushed.
P.S. I know it's "their" day and there is no obligation to have public appearance. I was just hoping...

Looks like congrats are in order to the Seidenberg's in addition to the cup. Seems like a few of the older guys are keeping things pretty low key which is why we haven't heard much about their cup days.

I wonder if Seidenberg's parents are deceased, or if they've moved away from his hometown, or if he moved a lot when he was growing up? I know he's said he hasn't been back to Germany in years.

Says his mom got a letter from the mayor of his hometown and she gave it to him. He says he hasn't been back in 5 years and with 2 little ones and one on the way traveling isn't an option. Sounds like they put down roots in NJ/PA when he was first drafted and that's where he's been since he's turned pro..
