What a beat-down handed to the MLS All-Stars by Man U last night.

In the MLS team's defense though, they are not used to playing with each other and Manchester did not hold back. They were pretty agressive on the ball and played with a pretty stacked team. Sir Alex Ferguson seemed to really really want to win the game. I still hate Man U, though.

And Hans Backe picked a bad team and used terrible tactics. So it is less surprising...who uses a 4-3-3 for a team that practiced together once.

the MLS All Stars couldn't decide whether they wanted to really play with Man U or if they were just going to play an All Star game.

Realistically, that team with a solid manager like Backe could probably compete in the EPL.

I don't know if it's the right thread to bring that subject up but what do you guys think of the possibility of the big 4 and other big clubs moving on to play in a league of their own ?

Same here. I've just started catching up with MLS podcasts with the EPL soon to follow.

I'm interested in how the ECA would structure such a league. There are 191 members... running the gamut from Man U to the Faroe Islands.

I'd be against it, unless it included every current EPL side (thus maintaining QPR'S spot).

Like I've said and just confirmed, Stevie G out till Sept. Infection.

Guess we are going to need some central midfielders.

Now more than ever it is important to keep Aquilani until January. Considering it's an infection I actually don't expect Gerrard to be back until around October, and even then, who knows? Infections after surgery are tough to shake.

Well it looks like Arsenal still haven't figured out how to defend a lead (or play defense for that matter).

I'd love to get one of them, but I'm not holding my breath. Just watching them play yesterday, they are still making the exact same defensive mistakes as last year. Wenger needs to open his eyes and make some adjustments! This team can be better defensively with the current personnel.

I wouldn't pay for Setanta. It is like 18 a month for me. Streams are your friend

Yeah it's 18 a month, which is retarded... but I've had it since the beginning of last year's season(or 2 season's ago, can't remember). Setanta's free preview from 3 years ago is actually what got me into watching soccer, so I don't mind paying it.

Yeah, that's why I never paid for it. I'm not a morning person so I tend to sleep through matches so at least now I can PVR matches now.

Now, just need Gol TV HD channel to start broadcasting...

you need the box, you could get setanta-i for the computer for 15 bucks a month.. but it'd probaly be just easier getting streams on the computer, and it maybe being on sportsnet.

FSC HD needs to hurry up and latch onto some more providers, because this having to watch a 42' grainy picture that's been stretched to fit my screen for all but 5 or 6 Liverpool games is awful. It's almost even worse than watching the streams, because it's so damn frustrating.

In a happy coincidence, I stumbled over it the other day...its a shame the HD doesn't seem nearly as good as ESPN's coverage. I don't even know if its possible, but the WC/PL games just seemed to look so much better on ESPN then the games I've seen on FSC.

FSC isn't as good of a provider for HD, but I'm more than happy to have it on my FiOS package.
