I had heard that he had received clearance from his own doctors but the Staff had made an internal decision to keep him out of contact drills and games. Otherwise he was skating and shooting and looked fine is what I was told.
How has Jambrosich looked at camp? I know he packed on some size during the off season. His skating is just phenomenal, and I'm sure it got even better.

Very wise! When you have a great kid with all that talent in your organization, you have to really think long term. This kid will be great for years to come in Sudbury, so why rush it. Enjoy watching this kid guys, he amazed me on some nights last year in AAA. Hope everything works out for him in the O.
Sudbury has traded Goalie Jacob Riley to Owen Sound for a 6th round draft pick in 2013.
Really not surprised by this move as the Wolves were carrying 4 golatenders into the season. And with the addition of Joel Vienneau what was a backup battle has become a third-string battle. Here is a link to the Wolves article.
I've been trying to watch as many OHL games as I can right now (I need my hockey fix since I'm not a football or baseball fan). Only problem is not all the games are on OHL Action Pack on TV so I've managed to attend some games which is much cheaper in pre-season. Of the 2 Sudbury games I caught the one last night was the oddest of them all. First goal against was an unfortunate pass by the D to a Kitchener player in the slot area. Then a goal on a miscue by the goaltender, another one a strange bounce and so on. I was there to watch Kitchener which is still my favourite team but it wasn't like they outplayed Sudbury. When you hear the expression, "They got the bounces", well that was bounces galore. I still don't put much stock in pre-season so now it's time for the real deal - reg. season.
Really sloppy game last night. Looked like it still should've been exhibition.
I had to flip the channel and watch some portions of other games as this should've been a more well executed game on Sudbury's part. I know some people were thinking Majors were looking dopy but Wolves execution was miserable and the score could've been worse. I hope this doesn't turn into a long season...
Any reason they haven't started Mattsson yet? He was already sent back well before the first game, and has yet to play. I'm not saying we would have won both of those games, but it seems as though he was brought in to be the #1.
Marcus Foligno has been sent to Rochester. This was pretty much a given, so unless he falters there, it seems like we've seen the last Foligno in a Sudbury uniform...for another generation at least
Also any word on McFadden? Is he still with the Habs? I noticed that the Montreal website had a '59 players left at camp' article last Monday (the 19th) where he was listed amoung the injured players., And yesterday in a 'Montreal makes first cuts' article he wasn't cut, but not listed among the injured. Is he recovered and still with Montreal? I don't see him in any of the game logs for the Habs,a nd I don't recall seeing any news that he's been sent back to the Wolves. I know he wasn't in either of the games Friday or Saturday.
So it looks like the Wolves are screwed going into this weekend. According to sudburywolves.com, Mattsson and Vienneau are out for 7-10 days. Also Dodero, Corbett and Levio are listed day-to-day. All injury types are undisclosed.
And as to the McFadden mystery, he's now been invited to Hamilton for thier traning camp.
So The Wolves have called up Alex Laino to backup O'Neill, and have also called up defenceman Tyler Prong. The Wolves play London and Sarnia this weekend.
If I'm not mistaken McDonald is injured and out until mid-season. The reason he wasn't mentioned in the article is because he's been injured since I think even before training camp started.
As for Baptiste's playing time I don't know, I haven't seen any games, the only games I'm likely to get a chance see are when they are in town to play the Rangers.
Any word on Mike MacDonald. I see him listed on roster, but he hasnt yet played, and wasnt mentioned as injured on Sudburywolves.com article.
Looking forward to seeing Baptiste play. Is he gettting minutes yet or working his way up the depth chart?
The first game it seemed like he wasn't playing much. In my opinion, right now would be a good time to get him some minutes with a few guys out at camps, but it seems like they are starting him off slow and making him earn his spot, which you can't really complain about.
The one person I'm worried about right now is Campagna. He does well for Canada, but plays bad for Sudbury. Gives me the shudders thinking back to how McFarland was like that..
Really not surprised by those results. I hope Mattsson is actually good once he's recovered, otherwise it's going to be a long season.
I'm not feeling good about McFadden either, if the Habs thought he was good enough to warrant an extra long look at their camp, and now a shot in Hamilton, I think he's playing in Hamilton this year.
