A lot of weight will be put on Mattson's shoulders once he gets back so I feel for the kid. As for Campana he'll be fine but there are a number of players that have to step it up and get some points since they can't pin their hopes on any one player coming back and turning the season around for them. Some nights I've thought they were too conservative and not getting enough pucks and traffic to the net. IMHO that's the way this team has to play to get some dirty goals.

Simple fact: Wolves will not win a game until they get a consistent goalie. Hopefully Mattsson is the answer.

Fact is Oneil is not an OHL goalie at this point. London game was perfect example. Sudbury played a great road game to start, leading 2-1. Once tied at 2-2, the 3rd goal Oneil let in was weak and you could tell it really deflated the team. 4th goal by Oneil was even worse, and game over.. London goes up 4-2 and the wind was completely taken out of Sudbury's sails....

I'm not blaming everything on Oneil, defence could be better, offense can do more... but letting in those weak goals on a regular basis won't win you many games. Wolves are in a fragile state, getting guys like Leivo back will help, and getting McFadden back would really help our powerplay in a huge way.

Cull, please start Laino tomorrow against the Soo, give Sudbury a new look in between the pipes, starting Oneil would be foolish imo.

Any wolves fan making the trip? Also how has Baptiste looked, I was hoping we would pick him but Mr. Nurse has turned out to be pretty darn good so far.

And now Mattsson has been cleared for Friday. Hopefully we can start to turn things around. I really think McFadden is gone. From all the things I've read he impressed at the Habs camp, and is doing the same if not better at the Bulldogs camp. I think he signs with the Bulldogs this year.

McFadden was sent back to the Wolves. PP should improve.

Lines need to be juggled.

That top line was luck last year and Kuchin is just awful. Doesn't hustle, very lazy.

Gotta stop this dump and chase crap too, every time it seems that Cull wants them to dump it in and try and regain possession... just gain the blue line for crying out loud!

Jambrosich, Campagna and Sgarbossa can all gain the zone easily. Sgarbossa with his hands, Jambrosich blows by defenders (made Stuart Percy look stupid the one night) and Campagna is growing into a good player with a nice set of hands and wheels.

He plays for the Sudbury Cubs, we could have used him last night in a 9-4 loss (Laino is bad....... .850 sv% and almost 5.50 GAA)

Mattsson stops 33 of 37, Mcfadden with a PP goal, we should start winning a lot more now

I'm not sure if you saw the game, but Sgarbossa had goal of the year in the shoot out.. he pulled a move similar to Pavel Datsyuk..

And don't be fooled by Mattsson letting in 4 goals, the goals he let in weren't his fault as he was very solid in net tonight.

Hopefully this is the start if a turn around. Esp. now that most of the top players are back. Really surprised that McFadden was returned, but also wouldn't be surpised to see him signed by the end of the year/start of next year.

Read in the paper that he wanted to come back to the Wolves. He knows that there will be interest in him no matter what happens this year. Either way, he won't hurt him IMO if he stays with the Wolves. He gets plenty of ice-time, and hopefully he can really work on his defensive game. On Friday he was playing with Sefton, I'm not sure if that's going to be his full time partner yet, but they really balance each other out.

Baptiste got his first points last night, Goal and an assist, and now the Wolves have won three in a row.

The Wolves are super lucky with their European goalies lately. Sebastien Dahm and now Mattsson. This guy has made save after save to keep these guys in games. He's definitely the reason these guys have most of the - if not all of the wins we have. Hopefully he can keep this up.

If he does this will be a really exciting season for the Wolves, which is what I was hoping for when they took him in the import draft.

Sgarbs and Camps had amazing shootout moves against Niagara, I was getting funny looks from fans at the Niagara rink when I was cheering. Camps won maybe 1 faceoff... played horrible all game. Much better against Brampton today.

And Kuchin is the most useless player on the roster. He should NEVER be on the point for the PP and shouldn't feature on the top line.

How does Corrado look? He had a great training camp with the Canucks. He looks like a smart player without to any weaknesses. But that was just a few games.

He gets a lot of PP time and is a great puck mover. Holds the line well on the point. He's a little weak defensively at times but that'll come with experience. He's a good skater and seems confident with the puck. I'll be going to a couple of games in 2 weeks so I'll let you know what I think of him then.
