Read on their website that all their forwards are coming back, except Racino who is still out. However, when Racino does come back they will have too many forwards. Curious if any trades will be made or will kids just be a healthy scratch?
Racino and Corbett have both been cleared to start skating, could be in the line-up by then end of the month, barrign any more injuries the Wolves would finally have thier full line-up dressed in a game.
Was looking at the standings, and with them getting some wins I was shocked to see them in 9th, then I looked at how many games they played.
What's with the scheduling? They've played the fewest games in the entire league. They are one point behind Oshawa in the Conference, but have SIX gmaes in hand on them?!?
3 games in hand on the division leader, which if they win all three of those games in hand they are the division leaders. So my next question is, when does this catch up them? Do other teams get a bit of a rest? Or is there a crazy busy part of the schedule? I did notice that they play 4 games in the last week of the season (Tues, Fri, Sat, Sun)
Didn't hear any names. Just heard younger players to Sudbury. 94's
Curious as to who will go to Barrie? Sudbury has many 94' s already on the roster and the style of a Blaine Smith is to try and have balance of age groups so they will not always be rebuilding from scratch.
Keep hearing about attendance problems down south....Think it is possible a Northern team could host the Memorial Cup?
GM Dubas has a "town hall" meeting last night.. basically any STH can ask about anything regarding the hockey team, and operations. He said they wont make a bid for the 14' Memorial Cup because of the cost of hosting it up north. Basically it would increase STH prices so much, and other tickets that it would not be fair to long time ticket holders, that the tickets could be out of reach financially. He said Kingston, London, Windsor are likely to be the top 3 for the Memorial Cup.
Any suggestions on what will happen in the coming two weeks? Only thing I have heard is that they want to get a proven top 6 goal scorer and to trim down their current 15 forwards and work with tier 2 callups when required.
