Just wanted to say im best friends with Kris King's son, and that the night of game 7 when they reviewed the goal by Bergeron(i think it was him?) people started to text his son (Kyle) about it, saying that he made a bad call. Kyle told me that that stuff like that happens to him all the time and people constantly criticize his dad. Because of the decision he made on that goal, he took a direct flight back to Toronto as soon as the game was done because he did not want to be threatened or followed on his way back to his hotel. He has been threatened before as his son told me that last year he recieved threats or criticism through mail. He also told me last year Colin Campbell recieved these threats regularly aswell. Just thought i'd share .

Kris King? You don't remember when he played for the Leafs in like the late 90s? Him and Derek, the King duo. I think Derek is a Marlies Assistant coach these days...

It does make it easier to know who to add to your ignore list.
I have a simple rule, anyone who responds to any post with only any variation of "U MAD" or "cool story", goes to the ignore list.
Thanks for sharing. This has to be expected though. The officials are under enormous pressure. There will always be stupid fans threatening them, its up to them how they can deal with it.

In all seriousness I'm sure officials in all pro (even junior, and freaking houseleague) sports get threatened. It comes with the territory, although it shouldn't. But hey if his name who should not be said didn't get murdered.. then I doubt there is much to them. But

I play Hockey on thursday nights with Greg Kimmerly (ref'd the Boston/Montreal series) and he said its always been this way. Refs are really hard on themselves about bad calls and as much as we love it when they just let them play, they get in **** from the NHL and lose a lot of Bonuses or opportunities to continue reffing the playoffs. And when they blow calls, fans are all over them.
Its a hard job, basically they are damned if they do and damned if they don't.
