New Name for Nationwide?

Cleveland Browns Stadium has been tagged " The Factory of Sadness" by a local media jock and the name has quickly spread around Cleveland.

Perhaps a new name is needed here!

The Arena of Sadness
Nationsad Arena
Nationwide Sadness
Ineptitude Arena
House of Incompetence
The Black Hole

are a few suggestions...

lets hear some more!!

Honestly, I don't see this as doing anything useful, productive, or even particularly desirable.

What is with this namecalling thing anyways? Frustration and depression are understandable, but this is just juvenile.

This is such an annoying thing for a fan to say. Please tell me what you can do that is useful or productive as a teams fan. Honestly I really don't see how making a nickname for an arena is juvenile, but I guess that's just for those who have absolutely no since of humor. Stay on your high horse though, it makes a whole lot of a difference.

Also I like the black hole, everybody that joins this team falls into a never-ending loop of suckage which doesn't really work with the black hole, but it describes this franchise pretty well regardless.

Nicknames are fine, something that sounds forced is not. If it sounds like something that was either a product of a night of blackout drunkenness or by a 9-4 vote in a boardroom, chances are it's a bad idea.

Viqsi, I think you are forgetting some of the functions of message boards centered around pro sports teams. This is actually one of them.

Not saying if that's a good or bad thing, just stating what is.

Stress relief that doesn't involve rioting is useful. Heck, any sort of humor instead of frustration and depression is useful.

There are other forms of stress relief one can seek out, of course, but the board already has enough stickies.

It's called a sense of humor! Just adding a little levity to another sorry season. Lighten up man!

And, isn't the whole Factory of Sadness thing from a viral fan video?

Easy, Viq, juvenile humor has made millions for Sandler, Schneider, Ferrell, and many others. Trying to tell people what they should find amusing is a losing proposition. Just shake your head in disgust and look away. Besides, someone might actually come up with something clever, it's been known to happen around here, on occasion.

I used the term "Palace of Misery" a couple weeks ago, in response to the Factory of Sadness thing.

But, after reading this thread, I think I'm on board for "Free Road Wins Arena". Nicely done, CBJB16.

In honor of the location's history, shouldn't it be called The Pen? Because, God knows that being a Jackets fan is pretty much life in prison without a possibility of parole.

Other possible reason--name changed by management in honor of visiting Penguins fans.

I like it. The State Pen Arena. Misery & Anguish live within it's walls.
