Wild Forum Draft Day Protocol

While a few of us plan on intending the draft, we also expect to have a larger contingent that will be around the boards to discuss the draft and Wild selections. Here's an outline on how to follow along with the draft as it plays itself out:

1. Keep all general draft related thoughts in this thread. Title will be changed on Friday. In the meantime, draft talk can continue be discussed here.
2. Fel 96 (Felix) will create a thread immediately after each Wild selection. Discussion about that prospect and pick can then take place in that thread.
3. Repeat step 2 with any draft picks in rounds 2-4.
4. Draft picks in rounds 5 and on will all be contained in one thread.
5. Once the prospect's seasons start, general discussion about the players will remain in the Prospect Thread.

Thanks for taking this into consideration. By keeping things segregated, we hope that this will make it much easier to follow along with the draft and better discuss each selection on their own merit.

Just thought I'd bump this.

Also, I'm gonna create 1 thread only since I can't watch round 2-7 on Saturday.

I just want to take a minute and thank Fel. I don't even know the guy really, but I asked about recording the 1st round for me because I have a wedding rehearsal I'm about to leave for + a newborn. He replied back almost instantly that he would try. What a great gesture that is for someone he doesn't even really know.

My take so far...

http://www.stateofhockeynews.com/201...raft-2011.html

You can check it out for yourself. I think we reached a lot with Brodin and Phillips wasn't any better. Not too happy about either of them but you can read the details of it. Saw lots of prospects up close and personal. Didn't ask for autographs or pictures, its not my way.

Although people certainly liked to wish me "Good luck" as they thought I was a Winnipeg Jets fan in my Jets jersey and Thrashers hat. Oh well, I played along with it and it was kind of fun.

I guess I'll place this here...

http://www.stateofhockeynews.com/201...f-its-own.html

The article pretty much sums up exactly how I feel. Sorry, I am not going to be leaving Minnesota tomorrow jacked up the Wild made a bunch of selections to really improve its position as a franchise.

Did the board survive? Yes? Awesome!
