Good deal. I was hoping for 3 years at $2.25 million/year but it's nice to see MaxPac sign for more than 1 year.
Habs with 6 top-6 forwards under contract now, already an improvement going into last year when the team only had 5.

Great news, hopefully he wont turn into another Higgins.
Now lets sign Markov and Wiz.

I love this.
It shows how competitive he is, we need a killer mindset like that.

I'm excited.
edit: Haha, and he basically called Bruins fans hypocrites. "It shows what type of fans the Bruins have" re: still getting hate mail from them

I know what you mean, hopefully Pacioretty can score more than Higgins... but, I'd take Higgins on my team for 1.625m any day.

Contract is 20 years too short.
This guy has a deep-seated hatred for the Bruins, it's awesome!

Loved his answer on whether we need a fighter.
He said they don't need a goon to play on the 4th line, but mentioned how much players on the team respect White and Moen for stepping up, and that is always welcomed and needed.
When you read between the lines he is essentially saying they need more grit, which I agree with.
I also noticed him say "we still need a couple key guys re-signed". Can't help but think he is referring to both Markov and Wisniewski.
Now up to 215 pounds and been training at 100% for past two months.
Mentioned that his neck still gets sore from time to time, but he doesn't see this as an issue down the road.

Looking forward to seeing him perform at 215 if he stays around that weight.
Also excited to see how Eller will have developed.
Those two forwards are extremely key for us. If both can contribute well, it changes the shape up of our team entirely.

His 2 comments about the Bruins were awesome and I hope the entire team feels the same way after what just happened.
I fully expect HF Bruins to go crazy over his comments, which makes it all the better.
The season series next year is going to be even more crazy than it was this year I would bet.

Max must have received clearance from Dr Recchi to sign off on a new contract! Old Doc Rex comes through in the clutch! Who needs Dr Mulder???
Nice contract for both Max and the team!!!

Those two, plus White, Desharnais, Wiz and Weber. There others, but i don't think they're as urgent.

Great news, hopefully he'll pick where he left off and put in 20-25 goals next year.

If he picks up where he left off 20-25 goals would be the low-end of the spectrum.
I'd still consider 20-25 a great season for him though!

I'm kinda relieved. If the Habs are willing to give up almost 2mil/year for multiple seasons they feel little/no risk of downside from his injury.
