not bad

but why not save the cash spent on A Kostitsyn and grab a better D man? i do really like Allen, maybe move orpik and get suter?

im generally upset with the new stance of the team. we are too offensive, we need to be "forced" to rely on dumping and chasing. and if that means having less offensive tools then so be it.
the three headed monster is plenty enough in the playoffs.

over the past 3 years we veered away from being a team built for the playoffs into a team built for flashyness and reg season success.

Bryan Allen is a pretty interesting thought. Not sure he fits the speed game, but he certainly fits the size, strength, and nastiness that we're in desperate need of.

I was trying to be more realistic.

Suter is looking at money in the 7.5 range. There's not a shot in hell this team could afford that. Even if he takes a discount, he'll be over 7.

Just sign another superstar they said. You'll definitely win a cup then they said.

I'd rather have Weber over Suter any-way.

Yep. Weber brings more to the table. Suter may be better positionally, but he's not worth 7 mil to us.

I'd have zero issues moving the necessary salary to bring Weber here.

Weber costs assets though, Suter would be asset free.

RFA vs. UFA, yeah. He's worth it in my mind.

Going to close this one down for a bit and direct people to this thread -- http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/sh....php?t=1171871 -- for the time being. Seems like a lot of the same discussions going on.
