Proposal PHI/Van

Sorry guys, been a member for a long time just never worked up the grapefruits to post, so here we go... Rehashing a dead proposal

To Vancouver

JVR

To Philadelphia

Schneider
Raymond

Sorry guys just hasn't been mentioned lately, I know Raymond is injured but does add a new dimension to Philly, pending them being unable to re-sign Bryz they'll need a goalie. Schneider has a really low cap hit and is an RFA after next year and they have a top 6 forward in Raymond that could pick things up in a new environment...
Anyways, first post so please be gentle...

The value is decent, but the Flyers would have no interest in moving JVR.

thanks, like I said I new it was rehashing an old trade, but again if they cant sign Ilya could be something that does give them a chance at keeping most of their core together, although after the playoffs JVR had I figure they'd be at least mildly hesitant to trade him

I'd probably be willing to throw in a 1st as well, we're in a window right now and JVR is someone that (although young) still immediately helps the team adding a big top 6 that helps the 2nd pp and can play with the Sedins after PK's

Nobody's trading for a guy with a broken back who's just beginning a 4-6 month rehab.

Saw a Carter for Columbus #8 + un-named player a couple different places. I think we'd still be interested in Carter if we could outbid C'bus somehow, Carter's salary is problematic though.

It would take a lot to pry JVR out of Philly. Especially with the playoffs he just had. It looks like he's going to come out in a big way pretty quick, it's no secret.

If I'm Vancouver I have the trade offer under Holmgren's nose before the chloroform wears off. That would be an utter fleecing of Philly. A 22 year old budding superstar for a guy with a broken back and an unproven goalie?

Such an approach is a slippery slope to Sutter GManagement.

Yikes OP. I think your evaluation of assets is pretty skewed.

They signed Bryz didn't they? Even if they didn't have Bryz and their GM was on shrooms, he'd laugh and hang up.

Plus JVR's salary is low enough that we might have the cap room to sign Laich to play with Burr and Kesler (Raymond on LTIR). Pipe dreams come easily this time of year

JVR is the Flyers future and he jsut had a break out playoffs. I dont think the Flyers are looking to deal him any time soon. Look for JVR to put up 30 goals next season.

goto the flyers board and you will see how high that board is on JVR

JVR is a blue chipper that looks legit--

A case could be made that raymond is a 3rd liner that needs special teams time or a second liner that needs to be with someone to get damage done.

Scheider is a guy who looks like he could be a number one goalie--but goalies are hard to judge sometimes and some people may not be sold on him

JVR looks to be a superstar in the waiting---21 years old and he is only getting better

if you replaced raymond with hodgson, you might pique paul holmgren's interest...but jvr was the flyer's best forward these playoffs and it would take a severe overpayment to even get philadelphia thinking about moving him

the time to get jvr out of philadelphia was last summer...now, with what he showed at the end of this year, he'll form the forward core of the flyers with giroux and richards for the next decade
