We won, but it was probably the most unimpressive win possible.

So whatever I guess.

Crazy third, but a win is a win.

I'm losing confidence in Mason; I hope he's not losing confidence in himself.

Got out with 2 points. This is a loss against decent teams, but the Sabres are more like the Buffalo Butter Knives

The G Lindrossing Konopka was awesome...

bet it was the last thing Konopka expected!

A win is a win, but that was ugly.

It does feel nice every once in awhile being the team outplayed all game and winning, a W is a W

The defensive coverage has got to get better. I know it's not really possible with streit or mez out there 2/3 s the game but way too many point blank chances once again. Hard to get good goaltending when you're hanging him out to dry.

Couturier looked better in this game. He was protecting the puck with his body more, like he was during his hot stretch. I really believe Read has a huge impact on him. I don't know what it is, but Couts seems to be more comfortable with his offensive game when Read is out there with him IMO.

Wasn't that Couturier on the last face off?

Yup, except like in most cases it usually has the goalie stealing the game. That wasn't the case with Mason tonight.

I think he is not having to worry as much... when Read is with him he seems to take the puck deeper, with others he dumps and covers as if he is concerned about the D... which I would be if I were him considering since Read went out he has been playing with Mez and Lecavalier on the ice most of the time... probably the worst two defensive players on the team.
