Friends of lansdowne -_-

Are they helping the project or hindering it.

I guess you can say helping it to me is getting the stadium done so we have a cfl team again.

Everytime they do this stuff ( ie go to court over things) it cost tax payers a lot of money.

Basically I'm asking are these guys trying to get the stadium built right or are they asswipes that don't want it in their neighborhood?

One way I want to punch them in the face the other way I'm indifferent.

Your thoughts?

Bunch of clowns with more money with brains. Any other city on the planet would welcome such a development, especially if it replaces something so decrepit.

Worst part is that the folks on Byron Avenue will be watching this closely, considering the odds are in favour of the city wanting to resurrect the old tram corridor for light rail. With the precedent set that you can sue the city for building something you don't like, the rich folk in Westboro will certainly pull the same crap.

Why do I live here again?

All of this sole source nonsense is driving me crazy.

There was only one bidder. OSEG.

It's a done deal.

It was "sole sourced" because no one else stepped up. That was until Jeff Hunt stepped up and the mingers like Clive DOUCHETTE stepped out from the rocks they were hiding under to complain endlessly about it.

I just wish a judge with balls would step up, toss every case out of court, charge the "Friends of Lansdowne" all the court costs and place them all in gallows for opening night (which also coincides with "Free Tomato Night" at the park).

Screw them.

But Landsdowne should be torn down and the entire site turned in to a park for the Glebe, so that they can have somewhere to go to sip lattes and moan and complain about the horrid suburban sprawl outside of the greenbelt.

exactly, nevermind the fact that it's been a sport's and entertainment facility the last 100 years or so(been there longer then the Glebe).

Exactly and they are putting in really nice park and sport facilities.

The worst part these same **** faces would complain if the stadium were also moved to kanata like SBP.
