Bringing up the fact that his buddy Snyder died as any fault of Heatley is really stupid and in poor taste to say the least.

With that said, I don't like how he left Ottawa and Atlanta. When players bend their organizations over the table and **** them in the ass publicly, it says a lot. He had fresh starts with three teams and couldn't make any of those relationships last.

The Sharks should have got more from him in that last playoff series, I watched it and he was invisible.

We need gamers. Heatley just seems like a bit of a ***** to me. No offense of course.

The character issues will be the big thing IMO. His history shows that he cares more for his personal ambitions than the teams aspirations. Maybe I'm completely wrong, I hope so.

**NHL TRADE CHATTER**Source: More buzz about the Panthers making a huge move tmrw & Capitals are about to make major noise #Semin #Weiss ?
This guy very very often calls on trades/signings days before they happen. He tweeted earlier this week that the panthers were up to something, trying to make a splash. he then mentioned booth and weiss as possibilities.

while its just rumors, I honestly would not be surprised if tallon tries to pull off a huge trade involving any of them. Just hope its not weiss going the other way...

I'm all for it as long as Booth or Weiss aren't the best players in the trade.

Exactly. Me too. It is going to really suck to trade either Booth or Weiss, but unless there is a big time player coming back, neither better be traded.

Don't both Booth and Weiss have NTC now?

I dont have a problem with Tallon moving Booth, but I do want to see Weiss retire a Panther.

Nothing personal with Booth, but if the trade makes us better then i would explore the possibility. I love the fact that he's willing to take a lot of shots, but he's not a natural goal-scorer. Weiss is sort of untouchable, IMO, because without him our depth at center goes to crap.

How do you expect to acquire Semin? Howden? Bjugstad?

Fialkov has been reporting on his twitter that he believes Vokoun likely won't be back but Reasoner very well could be. Nothing makes me more nervous than having to search for a goalie, even if we have a great history of them.

I didn't mean it like that. I meant if we were to trade Booth or Weiss it has to be for a player that's better than either of them. I wasn't saying we shouldn't trade Booth or Weiss at all.

Semin is better than Wess/Booth. The concern with Semin is he's signed for one year then he's a free agent. I would be hesitant to trade Booth for Semin knowing Semin could be gone in a year.

is that a reliable source? If so, good to hear we're a lock for some potential top 6 talent.

ehh, sometimes he's right sometimes he's wrong like anyone else on twitter nowadays, but figured it would be worth sharing none the less.

I wasn't necessarily referring to Semin. The UFA thing scares me too. Seems like he would bolt back to Russia the first chance he gets.

I agree that we need to be getting back the best player in the trade or we shouldn't be making the trade.

Would be nice to get Yandle!

10:15 p.m. It's been a quiet day on the restricted free agent front, but things might get a little warmer now that a few dozen of the UFAs have found new homes. TSN's Bob McKenzie is tweeting that the Phoenix Coyotes is likely to weigh its options on All-Star defenseman Keith Yandle, an RFA. Yandle is do for a big pay hike, and the Coyotes could decide they'd rather let someone else pick up the tab for Yandle's breakout season.

Unless we're trading a defensman later on, i don't see us grabbing any more D. With Guds coming up, we should have 7 solid Dmen going into the season.
